A PoE splitter does the opposite of a PoE injector; i.e. it takes the power and data streams coming over the Ethernet cable and splits it into two separate wires. This way, by using a PoE injector at the network source and a PoE splitter at the camera location you'll be able to use PoE technology to power your non-PoE cameras. The Axis Communications AXIS T8128 is a high power PoE splitter for use with Axis cameras.
