For starters, the full HD 1080p LCD display boasts a 6500:1 dynamic contrast ratio, a high 500 cd/m² brightness, and a 6 ms response rate, for a crisp, detailed image. The set incorporates a five-point color management system, a digital comb filter, and dynamic gamma control for rich, vivid colors that will delight the most discriminating videophile.

Complementing the gorgeous picture is a complete sound package that produces a room-filling audio experience. The LT-42J300 features 20 watts of total audio power delivered through two oblique cone speakers. To customize the sound to the user's taste, the HDTV includes JVC's OmniSurround system with listening modes for music, movies, news, and mono sound.
