Comments about Native Instruments GUITAR RIG MOBILE - Mobile Solution for Professional Guitar and Bass Tone:
I was pretty amazed at how small and light it was when I got it (Fits in my pocket!).
The sound is way better than my stock D/A converters on my Mac Mini or on my previous interface (M-Audio Mobile Pre). A lot more depth and clarity out of the Cirrus Logic converters (the same company that made the converters for Avid's Digi 002) than I expected.
Smooth range of volume for its output which helps when trying to listen at low levels while mixing.
One great feature: it goes up to 192kHz 24Bit! A great addition to a protools 9 rig for mixing on the go at any standard sample rate (except for 176.4).
Guitar rig has always impressed me, and the range of tones you can get is very impressive and usable even in a professional environment.
Overall I am very impressed with this little guy and would recommend it to anyone that needs good, flexible A/D conversion .

Comments about Native Instruments GUITAR RIG MOBILE - Mobile Solution for Professional Guitar and Bass Tone:
Guitars -> GR4m interface -> Dell Inspiron w/ 3GB RAM and core 2 duo processor.
Cons:
-The input and output volume controls are not the most accurate/responsive. With some high output humbuckers and the input level set at the floor, the signal is still on the hot side.
-The install and setup process isn't documented especially well but not that hard to figure out with average computer skills
-The effects models could use some improvement, especially some of the boost/distortion effects.
-built in recording options appear limited to a pre and post recording deck. A more robust out of the box multi-track would be a nice addition.
Pros:
-Presets and tones out of the box are pretty usable. Of course like any presets, they aren't going to be tailored to your liking or gear and need some tweaking but they are a pretty good starting point for getting comfortable with the software interface and manipulating the signal chain.
-Tone....nice selection of amp models that you can recognize what they were shooting for. A good degree of parameter control implemented with a nice real world-like interface with out being so complicated or over the top. Personality of your individual guitars and pickups are clearly present in the sound. Playing dynamics are rather realistically represented.
-No latency on the output jack
-Compact USB interface. Perfect for chucking into your laptop back and hitting the road.

Comments about Native Instruments GUITAR RIG MOBILE - Mobile Solution for Professional Guitar and Bass Tone:
GR Mobile is a wonderful tool that allows you to route your sound from Guitar Rig to a recording interface. Its build is definitely not as solid as Kontrol's, but it gets the job done. If you can live without the foot switches offerend by Kontrol (I guess they're handy when playing live), GR Mobile is all you need to take advantage of Guitar Rig's greatness. Keep up the good work Native Instruments.
