This Aquatica Underwater Housing with Wired for TTL Ikelite Bulkhead for the Nikon D90 Camera is machined from a solid block of aluminum that is anodized, coated with polyurethane powder paint, and then clear coated. This compact housing operates safely to a depth of 300' (90 m). The D90 offers both digital stills and high definition video. Now you can shoot both with one camera in one housing.
The lens port has a positive mount and locking mechanism, which leaves no doubt that your port is securely in place and watertight. The bayonet system offers fast access to lenses for rapid changing, and there is a lens release button on the front of the housing to facilitate easy lens changes. The housing allows use of lenses ranging from Fisheye to the 200mm Macro. The housing's large port opening accepts lenses that have a very large diameter.
The Single Ikelite bulkhead allows use of a single strobe connected to an Ikelite sync cord. You can also use dual strobes, using an Ikelite dual sync cord. This bulkhead supports TTL exposure control when used with a TTL adapter.
The Aquatica D90 housing uses a viewfinder that delivers a big and bright image and full frame viewing to your eye. LCD information in the camera's viewfinder is easily referenced while shooting, and chromatic aberrations have been significantly reduced for sharp focusing and exact composition.
Note: Requires Lens port
Also Note: Most zoom lenses require a close-up diopter filter to correct focus distance.

Comments about Aquatica Underwater Housing w/ Wired for TTL Ikelite Bulkhead f/ Nikon D90:
I just got back from a trip to Fiji where I used this housing on a liveaboard. The boat had around 20 people on it and almost all of them were photographers. I had the only Aquatica housing on the boat, and as I compared it to all the other full size SLR systems, it appeared to be much more compact and had as many camera access buttons. I received many positive comments on the housing from the other photographers. As I compared cost for my AD90 housing to the others, it appeared that Aquatica was very well priced in this market segment. My strobes were connected via the Ikelite TTL Converter and a dual strobe cable. The system worked flawlessly with TTL function being really easy to use in conjunction with the in-camera flash compensation. I also loved the port lock, something that I didn't think was a big plus until I tried to remove the port from the extension ring, and then realizing that if I left the extension ring on the camera and removed the port from it the lock helped greatly. Extension rings come off easy from the camera. I also had an 8" dome port and a macro lens flat port from my old housing set up (N90s) that I was able to use directly on this new housing (a big selling point for buying this one was being able to use some of my old stuff!). This housing compared to the N90s housing is more refined with the internal mechanics more solidly machined. I can see improvements in design maturity with this case over the previous one and am quite happy with how the housing engaged my camera. The camera tray design is fantastic and super easy to align on the camera and install in the housing! The access to the memory card was a bit of a challenge, given the way the camera on/off switch engages the housing, but there was a simple work around. You have to put the camera in with it turned on and the housing set to on. Before turning the camera on and sliding the camera out to get the card out, you have to open the card access door and depress the card so that it is disengaged from the camera. Then you turn on the camera via the housing and slide it out far enough to get the memory card all the way out. In all the photographers on board, the mix between point and shoot vs big SLR housed cameras was around 50/50. The housing worked flawlessly throughout the 10 day trip with only one issue caused by me forgetting to take off the camera lens cap before going down!

Great housing, but there are not very many instructions and extension rings are difficult to remove (I still haven't gotten mine off yet). I recommend not putting in the camera and taking it to the water to check to make sure that you've assembled everything correctly.
The housing gets 5 stars, the instructions minus 1 star.
