Comments about Casio Exilim EX-S12 Digital Camera (Pink):
I bought this for my wife to replace an old Sony and found it to be extremely solid with all metal construction and a very nice feel. If you are looking for a good camera to carry around in a purse, then this is a great camera for you.
Unfortunately, we bought ours to take photos of our two young kids and the camera is just not fast enough to do that. In "child mode" the ISO speed is set too high and the photo comes out grainy and still blurry. Shooting static images at low ISO speed takes a fine photo, although the color could be described as washed out. Also of important note, the charger for this camera has a long extension cord on it that takes up most of the box. There is no way to carry the charger discretely as it is just huge because of the power cord.
I wish all the plastic cameras out there felt as solid as this this Exilim, but I think Casio has a way to go before reaching the optical performance of the models built by camera companies.
