Comments about Peavey PV8 Live Sound Mixer with 8 Channels:
I use this mixer in a home studio.
The unit is quiet and clean. Lots of features for the money. I wish it were internally-powered, but it is, after all, a bargain piece of gear.
I took off one star because the unit arrived with a defective A/B switch for the 5/6 channel.
I took off another star because the low-band EQ's knee point is much too low for the control to do anything useful, AND the circuit is the shelving type rather than the peaking type, both of which together invite problems with subsonics that the unit's rumble filter can't address without kneecapping most of the program's useful low end.
If there'd been no QC problems with this sample, and if the unit's low-band EQ were the peaking type with center frequency somewhere between 50 and 70 Hz, I'd have given this thing five stars.

Comments about Peavey PV8 Live Sound Mixer with 8 Channels:
Peavey has a tradition of making solid gear at a reasonable price point, and this mixer is no exception. It's compact, yet solid as a rock, and works perfectly for the application we chose it for (to premix drum mikes and send a stereo mix to the recording deck). Does exactly what we need!

Comments about Peavey PV8 Live Sound Mixer with 8 Channels:
Hooked up to my PA system with my Peavey PR15's and man what a difference it makes. My speakers are operating at their best, the sound is great.Light and compact with a big punch and lots of features. For the price it goes above and beyond expectations.I would recommend this little guy to anyone.Feel a little guilty for paying so little for so much.
