Peavey PV-MSP1 Microphone / Mic Stand Package (XLR) offers a simple and complete solution for vocalists, small studios and musicians. The package includes the PVi100 dynamic handheld microphone that's well suited for vocal capturing on stage or in recording situations. I bought this because I needed a sturdy boom mic stand for my keyboard. The bonus was the microphone , XLR cable and case. Microphone is great for vocals it compares to my Shure m58. The XLR cable is a little thin which may not make it durable for daily use. The case that comes with the stand is quite sturdy as well. Considering the price I paid [$] you can't touch this deal. Hey for $200.00 you can mic the whole band.

I bought this product with my boyfriend with the intentions of using it for practicing, and since we didn't have a mic stand, we thought it would work out great for the music set-up I have in my bedroom. We both plan to improve our voices, and this seemed like a good mic + stand to practice on. We set it up over our keyboard, and it fits nicely. The microphone offers a clear sound, and is good quality. The gig bag is a great feature, and will come in handy if we ever need to transport it or if we start to play gigs. Overall, I would say this is a great microphone package for any musician, whether you're in the studio, or on the road. The price is great, too!

With the economy the way it is, I can't always afford to hire a sound guy. This allows me to do interview-style shoots without needing a second hand. I'd love a true sound guy to follow and be focussing on just the sound quality, but this works in a pinch and keeps the jobs coming in. Haven't tested the mic, wasn't really buying it for that.
