Comments about Olympus E-System E-30 Digital SLR with 14-54mm Zoom Lens:
I've had my E30 for three months and am thrilled with its quality and features. I have used Olympus equipment for almost 40 years for personal use, art photography and semi-professional applications like web site development. The most astonishing feature is the in-body image stabilization. I took a picture of the inside of a bridge by holding the camera out in front of me as I drove across and was amazed at how sharp the image was. Also the built-in high key filter is great for old people and babies! Everyone loves how they look.

Comments about Olympus E-System E-30 Digital SLR with 14-54mm Zoom Lens:
I upgraded from the E510 and this camera is a very good election, is more strong and the image quality is superior, feel in total control of each variable and the 14-54 lens is an excellent combination.

Comments about Olympus E-System E-30 Digital SLR with 14-54mm Zoom Lens:
I upgraded from the E510 and frankly was surprised by how much difference there really is between the 510 and E30. The difference in the OVF is huge. The E30's is big and bright. You can read the information easily in the view finder. The addition of the Mode wheel is also great, particularly for manual shooting.
I use my cameras for both action and general use the 5FPS is a big increase over the 510 and the E30 also provides greater dynamic range.
I find the camera very comfortable to use even though it is heavier then the 510. I find that I don't even have to use the LCD screen all that much because of the small LCD on the top of the camera and the improved OVF.
Overall it is just a great camera to use.

Comments about Olympus E-System E-30 Digital SLR with 14-54mm Zoom Lens:
I upgraded from the E-510 to the E-30 and I can tell you that the E-30 is a much more capable camera than the 510, is well made, easy to use, and the controls are well placed. It is the perfect camera for me. The low noise levels and sharpness of the photos it takes are spectacular. A lot of camera for the $$$.

Comments about Olympus E-System E-30 Digital SLR with 14-54mm Zoom Lens:
This camera is a worthwhile upgrade from the E-510 I also own. The camera is much more reponsive in every way. It has faster and more accurate focus, higher frame rate, and does not clip highlights as easily as my E-510. The two control dials are really handy and the electronic spirit level is a nice feature too. Above iso 100 the blacks out of the camera are not really "black". Just a quick levels adustment remedies that instantly. It seems to have a higher dynamic range than the E-510 so the pictures tend to come out a little "flat". But some quick work in post and you can achieve more than adequate contrast and "pop". I absolutely love this camera and highly recommend it.
