Impact PowerSync10 AC/DC Radio Transmitter

Impact products are increasingly attracting the attention of photographers seeking high quality and dependability at an affordable price. The Impact PowerSync10 AC/DC Radio Transmitter offers the convenience of wireless triggering of your strobes backed with features that will maximize the performance of your equipment.
The low-profile transmitter hugs low on your camera's hot shoe, thereby avoiding mishaps like broken shoes and other pitfalls of oversized units. A test button facilitates the taking of flash readings and system checking on-set. The radio signal is unimpeded by walls, windows etc. and operates within distances of 200 feet of a PowerSync10 receiver at a high maximum sync speed of 1/180 sec. A 10-channel selector on its underside keys into the corresponding dial on the receiver to trigger the connected flash or camera without interference from other devices. The transmitter is powered by a long-life, inexpensive A23 alkaline battery. Trigger voltage is under 5V, making it safe to sync with virtually all brands.

I use this PowerSync10 D Radio transmitter for indoor and out door shooting. This product works great, unlike the infrared transmitter and receiver, it can be triggered any angle and through objects. It can turn your flash to an universal flash. It has all the accessories to get you started. It fires flash at pretty good distance and trigger the flash every time! It is extremely light and great for those who travel.
I wish the unit cover (plastic part) is little more solid. But I am okay with it since everyone should treat his/her investment (equipment) with care.

The PowerSync10 DC Radio Transmitter by Impact seems to be a durable unit for the price, once you make a small modification. The battery in the transmitter is loose, but once that problem was fixed, it doesn't misfire. The range is a couple hundred feet as long as there isn't a lot of stuff between the transmitter and receiver. Overall, it is easy to use and just what I needed.

I bought the set of a transmitter and a receiver, and I am very pleased. This is a fantastic product, great price and easy setup. I do student portraits and having fewer wires to string and worry about is great. The setup was easy and the slaves fired my "White Lightning" X-800's every time.

Using this transmitter with 3 PowerSync receivers. No misfires. While the plastic feels a bit on the cheap side, it is somewhat durable. Giving this 4 stars because there is no on/off switch. When the transmitter is not in use, you have to remove the battery to prevent battery drain.
Overall, based on price, I am quite pleased with the entire PowerSync setup.

I use this to fire my Speedlites and it works great. I've used it indoors and outdoors within 100 ft and it fires very reliably! I like that it is fairly small and there is no large antenna. Came with two batteries which was nice. My only complaint is with the construction. It sort of seems toylike and one good hit might cause it to split. But so far I haven't had any problems and you can't beat the price!

I got this transmitter and three receivers to fire either studio lights or mobile lights (Vivitar HV285). After working for a good studion in Long Island I will start to shoot weddings on my own (in Germany, Romania, maybe Israel, too). After trying out Morris (transmiter/receiver not compatible) and realizing that PocketWizard is pricy and has unreliable models, B@H offered me the Impact solution.

It's does the job, TTL functions don't work with it and it took a few minutes to get the right setting on my Sigma flash to fire, but overall if you can work with the limited functions it's a good buy
