After owning a "no-name" wireless and putting up with misfires, I switched. Best range and reliability of any wireless I have owned.

Comments about Impact PowerSync10 DC Radio Receiver:
I have 3 of these now and the PowerSync transmitter. So far this setup is performing as expected. No misfires. Definitely more affordable than other brands. I really like the multiple adapter scenarios that this receiver provides. This alone makes it superior to other brands because this means less additional parts needed for various setups.

Comments about Impact PowerSync10 DC Radio Receiver:
The PowerSync10 DC Radio Receiver by Impact seems to be a durable unit for the price. It never has a misfire and doesn't burn the batteries as fast as I expected. The range is a couple hundred feet as long as there isn't a lot of stuff between the transmitter and receiver. Overall, it is easy to use and just what I needed.

As a backup to my other radio slave, then I realized it is so versatile in that it will connect to my 3 different brand strobes. Now it is my primary radio slave.Small and nice toggle switch with a ready lite for on/off. All good

Comments about Impact PowerSync10 DC Radio Receiver:
I use this PowerSync10 D Radio receiver for indoor and out door shooting. This product works great, unlike the infrared transmitter and receiver, it can be triggered any angle and through objects. It can turn your flash to an universal flash. It has all the accessories to get you started. It fires flash at pretty good distance and trigger the flash every time!
No TTL function, manual setting of the flash output is required. And the sync speed stated as 1/180 seconds but I have tried it up to 1/250 of seconds on my Canon 30D and 7D. It works fine. You will notice the sync problem beyond 1/250 seconds.

Comments about Impact PowerSync10 DC Radio Receiver:
This is a great little unit I use to fire my Speedlites. They are compact, lightweight, very easy to use and so far have fired reliably indoors and outside. The only reason I have given it 4 instead of 5 stars is for the construction. They seem a little toy-like and may not be the most durable. But so far I haven't had any breakage and for the price - just what I was looking for!

Comments about Impact PowerSync10 DC Radio Receiver:
I use it to trigger either a monolight or one of my speedlights. I like that it has a hot shoe built in as well as two different sockets for sync cords. Triggers reliably - I used it in 5-6 photoshoots and had no issues with it yet. Have not tested the effective distance as of yet.
One thing to look out for - the construction is relatively weak. I dropped it (from a 5-6 feet height on an asphalt pavement)and it stopped triggering the speedlight attached to a hotshoe. I disassembled it and discovered that the hotshoe is connected to the circuit board through two gold-plated contacts instead of being either soldered in directly or connected by wires. Not a big drawback, but the material used for the contacts, apparently, is not springy enough to keep its shape after a drop. I restored the shape of the contacts and the hotshoe works normally now. In other words - do not drop it.

Comments about Impact PowerSync10 DC Radio Receiver:
I bought this receiver to fire studio and portable lights (Vivitar HV285). Mainly I will use this for weddings. The main reason why I got it is because it is affordable (not cheap) and has 10! channels to choose from. The dial for the channels is very secure (needs a screw driver/small coin). On the negative side the power ON/OFF switch is sweet but can turn on by itself. (I take one battery to be sure it doesnt turn on by itself.)
In the package you will find 2 hot shoe attachments that lets you place the receiver in two different spots.
