Comments about Nikon Coolpix S220 Digital Camera (Jet Black):
I bought this camera for one reason only: its interval shooting modes.
I'm a huge fan of time lapse photography and this camera is one of the only ones I could find that had the feature done right. It allows you to set it to automatically take a photo every 30 seconds, 1 min, 5 min, or 10 min. It'll shoot until the battery is dead or your card fills up. It also allows you to select 16:9 as an image aspect ratio making it even simpler to build the HD video with the still images.
You can find this feature by pressing the MENU button and then going to the Shooting menu > Continuous > Intvl timer shooting.
It's nice that it's a small camera, too. I have a bendy mini-tripod that I often will put in a tree and set it shooting away all day. The battery/SD card door is located on the opposite side of the mounting threads, so you can easily replace a battery without having to take it off the tripod. Genius!

I bought it for my mom who lives with me. She loves it very much. The pics she took for my son look very nice even though she does not have any skill on shot.

Comments about Nikon Coolpix S220 Digital Camera (Jet Black):
I bought this tiny camera to have it all the time with me. I usually shoot with a DSLR but I can't carry it along all days. This one is small enough to fit in a Blackberry curve holster.
Image quality is good engough if light is good. High ISO pictures / shutter lag / AF speed / LCD are of course deceiving when compared to DSLR but this camera is so cheap you can't complain.
I love the "nikon" color settings, especially the vivid one.

I wanted a low cost compact camera to carry in my pocket when I travel and am going places where I don't want to carry a DSLR. I plan to use it for scenes.

Comments about Nikon Coolpix S220 Digital Camera (Jet Black):
I've been shooting on several situations, dark, light, moving and so on.
The camera has to be setup correctly to get the best performance. Afterward, the pics are really great.
Tip: don't set ISO more then 200.
This camera is really slim, fits any pocket and always ready to record the best moments.
movie quality is not the best in market but enough for amateur shooter.
By now, I didn't find negative items.
Bottom line: cheap product, slim, good quality. Recommendable!

Comments about Nikon Coolpix S220 Digital Camera (Jet Black):
I LOVE THIS CAMERA!!! I am always the last one standing when it comes to upgrading my electronic technology. I put off getting a digital camera forever! This might not be so bad except that I am a filmmaker by profession and it didn't look so great when I was using current and top-of-the-line digital video and didn't have a still camera for some location scouting.
B& H to the rescue!!!
I am thrilled with this suggestion made by the salesman. I told him what I needed, and this is what he responded with. The camera took it's first pictures in Amsterdam and Hamburg! Great shots and very easy to use.
Overall, a great product.

I didn't want to always carry my Cannon Rebel around so I was looking for something to keep in my purse. The Nikon is very small and I can take it everywhere. The pictures have all come out very clear with great color. I'm very happy with my choice.

Comments about Nikon Coolpix S220 Digital Camera (Jet Black):
I purchased this camera as a gift for someone not so "camera savvy." Using the "automatic" shooting function, you just need to point and shoot. It is small enough to fit in a shirt/blouse pocket, but gives "big camera" picture quality. The S220 is easy to set up and has the ability to customize the shooting program if you wish to use something other than the automatic program. The menus are easy to understand and navigate when and if you wish to change things. Initial start up and programming was very simple. 10 megapixels gives you a large enough file to make 16x24 enlargements with little or no loss in picture quality. Battery life is good, but I would recommend getting a spare battery, since the camera doesn't use typical convenience store batteries ('aaa or aa'). I like to plan ahead and have a spare on standby, but that's just me.
Bottom line - if you want a quality, compact, easy to use ponit-and-shoot camera - at a good price - this is the one to get!

Comments about Nikon Coolpix S220 Digital Camera (Jet Black):
Needed a nice point-n-shoot "carry everywhere" camera that was easy to use and took good quality pictures. This Nikon fit the bill perfectly. The controls are simple to master and the camera is slim enough to carry easily in your pocket. And with good light, the pictures compare with those I take with my much more expensive Panasonic Lumix. I highly recommend this camera to anyone who wants a simple high quality camera at a price point well below $200.00

Comments about Nikon Coolpix S220 Digital Camera (Jet Black):
As with any Nikon product this camera is fantastic! It's incredibly easy to use and the quality of the pictures and of the camera's components is evident. The LCD screen has a bigger than average screen that looks great! The battery lasts for hours before re-charging and the lightness of the camera makes you want to carry it everywhere. Great combination of quality and price in this product.
Related to price I compared with several retailers and B&H offered the best one, so compare and confirm what I'm saying.

Comments about Nikon Coolpix S220 Digital Camera (Jet Black):
I didn't realize how small this camera really is. The screen is a perfect size (almost as big as the camera). The face detection focus system is amazing. The only thing missing is the touch screen but you can get that for around $100 more in the S230.
