Comments about Glyph-Technologies 500GB PortaGig 800 Dual Interface Portable Hard Drive:
I bought this to replace my old, failing Maxtor 300GB drive for audio work. And the Portagig is "certified" to run with Pro Tools. I like the small size; I recently did some rough cut editing on bus ride to Ohio and despite all the bumps things kept running.
The only negative point I'd raise is heat. This thing gets pretty warm and I worry that running this drive a lot will cause some kind of long-term heat damage or reduce its lifespan.
