The Panasonic PT-F300U is a high-performance LCD projector designed for use in fixed installations. With 4000 ANSI lumens of brightness, whether in the classroom or the boardroom, the 300U delivers crisp HD performance using technology such as Daylight View 5 to automatically compensate for changing ambient light conditions.
A built-in closed-caption decoder makes it an ideal teaching tool, along with features like side-by-side image and 16-window thumbnail projection aimed at making complex, informative presentations easy. The 2x zoom lens and optical lens shift accommodate installations from permanent ceiling-mounted to simple desk-mounted use. An RJ-45 connector makes accessing data across your network possible, as well as projector function and maintenance monitoring.
In addition to its many performance attributes, the 300U is bottom-line-friendly. It combines Panasonic's Auto Cleaning Filter, extending its replacement cycle to 10,000 hours a with lamp drive system that enables up to 5,000-hours of use.

Very nice install projector at a good price. But it doesn't allow you to change the aspect ratio manually.

Comments about Panasonic PT-F300U LCD Multimedia Projector:
Our University has a strong bias for Panasonic LCD projectors because of repair experience, reliability, and excellent color fidelity which is important for medical presentations.
I was looking for a 4000 lumen projector to replace an older Panasonic PT-F735U (2600 lumen) one. The price for the PT-F300, over $4K as suggested by many websites including Panasonic, was prohibitive. I was very pleasantly surprised when B&H quoted me under $2K! That clinched the deal.
My users are pleased with the projector's performance. We will use this projector almost exclusively to show computer images (teaching how to use different kinds of software). We do not use the speakers in our projectors.
On the down side: an unpleasant surprise was when I discovered that the mounting hardware from my older Panasonic projector could not be used on the PT-F300, so I had to purchase more mounting hardware, etc...

Comments about Panasonic PT-F300U LCD Multimedia Projector:
This projector was purchased to be used in a church with a throw distance of 32' and lots of stained glass windows. The color and detail of the images displayed are great, we couldn't be happier with the image. Although on a couple of occasions the projector had problems "warming up" and it would shut down and have to be restarted.
