The A0VT012 Automatic Duplex Unit for Konica Minolta magicolor 1650EN and 1690MF laser printers. When installed, the Automatic Duplex Unit enables two-sided printing to speed production and for added creativity. The A0VT012 includes attachment which raises the printer height to accomodate the duplexer.

This is a add on to the Konica Minolta magicolor 1690MF. The printer itself is outstanding; it enables you to print on BOTH sides of the page.
What is great about it is simply that it works: exactly as promised. If you follow the very straightforward connection procedures (all in visual form) and then try to print a page it works, immediately, and correctly.
It is slow compared to other large machines. But the entire pieces of hardware: the printer itself (under $300) and the duplexer (about $100) gives a small office excellent quality and dependability. Speed is not so important.

We got this along with our 1690 and with B&H's pricing, we have a full-featured machine for much less than what we could find elsewhere. We are still fairly low-volume, so we haven't "put it through it's paces," but we are pleased so far.

If you are tired of figuring out how to position your paper in the tray after printing one side, this product is for you! I use the 1690 MF in my home office, and use two sided printing regularly. The duplexer is easy to install, but the only instructions are images printed on the packaging (no manual). It is not a very fast duplexer, but neither is the printer. You'd like it if you print hundreds of pages per month and want two sided printing capabilities, but if you print thousands of pages, you might want to consider another printer and duplexer alltogether.
