Manfrotto 7322YSHB 4-Section Tripod w/ Ballhead
The Manfrotto 7322YSHB Tripod is the most compact of their "M-Y" series, meant as a first time tripod buyer's choice. This travel specialist weighs in at only 2¼ lbs and can be carried on an airplane, in a briefcase. The attached ballhead is simple to operate, and with 22mm diameter maximum leg segments and a compact head the 7322YSHB is meant for use with point and shoot cameras or the very smallest of consumer SLR camera systems.

I am a photography student at the University of Miami and this tripod is very useful for projects. It's compact, fairly light, and simple to use. Although I haven't had it for long, it seems pretty heavy-duty and will probably last me a long time.

I didn't beat the thing up or anything but I took it on a two-week climbing trip to cuba and it took a few bruises just fine. Set up and take-down are super fast and the adjustment is quick, easy and sturdy. Great tripod for trips.
