This was my first big screen TV coming from a 32" non-HD TV. After doing lots of research this looked like the best bang for the buck for a larger screen size. Went w/ a 54" since it's in a combo living/dining room that's 15X25. Hook up was easy. I was disappointed at first w/ what appeared to be ghost/fuzziness at times compared to my old CRT, but that's because I was watching non-HD (duh). It wasn't there all the time and after a day or so I didn't notice it. On the FIOS HD channels it's AMAZING!!

This television is a welcome addition to my home theater. The picture is simply amazing and the unit is quiet and puts off only a relatively small amount of heat. The remote is easy to use and the TV has a plethora of input options. The internal audio is pretty bad, but I never intended to use it anyway. All of the built-in picture preset modes leave something to be desired, so it is best to calibrate the settings manually once the television breaks in a bit. My only regret is not buying one these sooner.

I PURCHASED THIS TV ON ITS REPUTATION ALONE. ONLINE THIS TV HAS SO MANY GOD REVIEWS THAT EVEN AFTER SEEING IT IN PERSON AT A LOCAL [...]AND NOT REALLY BEING IMPRESSED I PURCHASED IT. AFTER GETTING IT HOME THE TV REALLY BLEW ME AWAY ! THE PICTURE OUT OF THE BOX WAS STUNNING (SATELLITE HD) AND AFTER TWEAKING THE SETTINGS EVEN BETTER. I WATCH BLUE RAY DVDS AMAZING, PS3 GAMES, AND HD SATTELITE PROGRAMING AND ALL LOOK SO CRISP AND CLEAR. EVEN STANDARD SIGNAL LOOKS GOOD. EXCELLENT TV FOR THE PRICE.
