I had a chance to use my new Storm Jacket while shooting during a thunderstorm the first day I got it and it worked like a charm. It is so simple and easy to use that I had a few doubts as to how it would perform in the rain. I have to say it worked better than any other product or solution I have ever tried, and I have tried several. It is so light that it adds no weight to either my camera or bag. It does take a little getting used to, but only a little. I have had a number of camera bodies and lenses damaged or ruined over the past 30 years or so while shooting in better conditions than those in which I used the Storm Jacket. My gear came through this particular storm without being hit by a single drop of rain - what else can I say?

I have several rain covers and recently decided to try the storm jacket. It was pretty easy to get my camera and lens in side the cover but I found it very difficult to use. First the front of the cover does not stay on the front of lenses well, especially zooms. Secondly, the cover does not have an arm sleeve so you have to either hold it through the back which is awkward and pulls the cover easily off the the lens. also with may hand in the back material kept getting in the way of the viewfinder. When I tried putting my hand in from the bottom where the velcro closes the velcro hooks were either rubbing on my skin or catching on my cloths. Disapointing.

I used this once and it was great however I lost it. I will definitely order another. It is light weight and fits in a small pouch so it is easy to carry. It fits my Canon 70-200 2.8 II with room to spare.

We were caught in down pours for several days while hiking and taking some great pictures. We had probably three hours of non rain. I will never leave home without the Storm jacket. Very simple to use, works great on the monopod and the tripod with gimbal head. Yes I would recommend this product, great construction. Keeps equipment dry.

Fairly easy to use. Just allow a couple of minutes, particularly if you are using tripod. Haven't tried in hard blowing rain, but sufficient for a pop-up shower.

I bought this for a trip to the Northwoods to film bears, expecting some light rain. There was heavy rain to the point where I had to take cover a few times. The camera cover kept my gear dry. The cover stayed in place and the opening in the bottom allows for use with a tripos and to zoom/focus. The material is like a tent tarp, so it can be shoved in a pocket when needed. And the pouch has a clip for attaching to a vest. Overall, if you film outdoors this is a must have for the kit.

I ordered this product for a trip to the northwoods expecting light rain. I received periods of heavy rain. The cover kept my kit dry and working. The material is like a tent tarp so it's light and can be stuffed into a small pocket if needed. The draw string on the fron keeps it in place and the velcro opening on the bottom allows for easy zoom and focus adjustment. If you do outdoor work, this is a no brainer. It might look expensive for the amount of material you get, but's much cheaper than replacing gear or missing shots because of weather. Used on a 120-300 lens w/ 2x converter and camera w/ battery pack on a gymbal-sytle head.

Great idea for those of us who do either outdoor video or photo. I bought 3 of these so I can protect my digital cameras and my video camera when I shoot a wedding. Love that it has a hole for the tripod to go through. Even comes in a little storage bag so I can clip it to the outside of my camera bag without getting my equipment wet.

Bungee type closures aren't very effective if your handle your camera a lot. If your just going to mount it on a tripod with minimal changes it's great. If you need to access your camera controls it's a bit cumbersome. One trick I use is to place several hair ties or rubber bands on the lens shade first then slip the jacket on. This will help keep the jacket over your lens instead of creeping up on you. It would also serve well to have an opening on top to accommodate flash and other shoe mounted triggering devices like a lightning trigger. And possibly a small side opening for cables etc. Other than that it works great in light or heavy rain but could be improved upon.

I used this product when I was shooting on a boat. I wasn't getting wet, just mist now and then. This is a great product as long as the person ordering this is not expecting waterproof material..it is water resistance. There is a difference. If your looking for waterproof, you'll be disappointed. It's small and lightweight and is nice to have in your bag.

Works great to keep camera and lens dry for outdoor photography. Easy to use and is well made. It folds up small and has its own pouch so it is easy to carry with you at all times.
Everyone that spends time in the outdoors should carry one to protect your expensive camera gear.
