Backdrop Alley Reversible Muslin Backdrop (10 x 12', Aqua Night/Blue Meadow)
The 10 x 12' Aqua Night/Blue Meadow Reversible Muslin Backdrop from Backdrop Alley features a different color on each side. This is a 100% cotton muslin that comes with mounting pockets and rings to facilitate hanging. Surface wash with sponge dipped in mild detergent water and very softly wipe the dirt/grime off the surface. It should be tested first on a spot to make sure no color change occurs.
Note! Colors depicted may vary slightly, due to differences in computer monitors, printed media, and variances in manufacturer's fabrics, dyes or paints.

I decided to purchase this backdrop because I wanted a bluish color backdrop. The title states that the color is "Aqua Night/Blue Meadow." I normally read the customer ratings… the average at this time was four stars. I thought, not bad, I'll take a chance. When I received my backdrop, I was soooo disappointed that I left it on the ground for a couple of days. I was upset because I see GREEN! It was like an ugly green! I was furious! I KNEW I was going to return this backdrop. But, before I returned it, I decided to give it a test run. I went ahead and used it for portraits. And……WOW! I was glad that I kept it. I have no regrets. I love it! Absolutely gorgeous! The true color when you take portraits is like a bluish green, more like dark aqua green, but it really makes your subject(s) pop. I am a satisfied customer!!!

I was very hopeful since the other reviews were good, but was quite disappointed. I know the colors can slightly vary, but the colors shown on my screen aren't even close to the one that showed up. There is no pinks in the one I received, very plain and fairly dull. There's also much less contrast in it, especially on the dark side where there's almost no contrast at all. When I unfolded it for the first time, I also noticed that the lighter side was completely covered in some kind of grassy substance. After shaking it off, the floor was completely covered in it[...]The smell was also quite strong and unpleasant.The weight of it is pretty nice. You can sometimes see light through it which I don't like, but it's not too thin. It's also not too heavy and bulky, fairly easy to move around.

Use muslin for portraits. I thought it was too dark when I first opened package. Once I spread it out I saw colors were just as pictured. Paint job looks great on light gray side, reverse side may be a little darker than I wanted, but still looks good. The wrinkles from folding for shipping steamed out quickly. Muslin quality was plenty good for in studio use.

I read the reviews and some folks commented on color accuracy & thinness allowing light to pass through from behind. If you are using adjustable lights, the color & saturation is easily influenced via lighting control...a good quality. Also, using studio lights will negate any light-bleed from behind the background. Price, weight and pattern all work to make this a good buy for me.

The dark side of the backdrop is darker, the light side was lighter than the picture, not horrible but not really what I was wanting. Also some of the dye comes off on your hands and clothes. Light from a window behind the backdrop came through the fabric as well, didn't have a choice on the one set up, put another backdrop behind it.

I didn't ever use the product because once I took it out of the package, I decided that the color was hideous. The green/blue side looked like a deep very unattractive green...one that I wouldn't want in a portrait and the lighter side just looked like the unpainted back. I'm not even sure that it was ever painted....it just looked white. I was very disappointed in the colors. I knew that there would probably be some variation from what I saw on the website, but this was nothing even close to the sample images shown.

The quality of the material is very good. [...]. Was very easy to put on rod as there was already a pocket sewed in.My only complaint is the color really doesn't match what the product says it is. This should be more bluer. It is more grey on one side and more green on the other.
