I was really excited to get my first backdrop, but disappointed about the lack of information. Would muslin be too thin? Would I have enough?
I am an amatuer and would like to have something to grow with me. This backdrop didn't disappoint. Very thick - even the window in the background doesn't show through. The color is true black. And the quality of fabric is fantastic.
It's heavy - which is a good thing, but it's alot of fabric to move around.

This backdrop is very large but perfect for my needs. I had been using paper backdrops for about a year so I was delighted to find a quality replacement that was much more portable. The backdrop is thicker than I expected and the color is perfect for me. The room I use to shoot does not have any windows so I can't expound on the denseness of the fabric.
The backdrop ships folded up inside a clear plastic bag. Once unfolded, you will notice wrinkles all over. My drapery steamer was quite effective getting the wrinkles out, leaving a smooth finish. It also helped reduce the dye smell from the fabric.
I drape mine over a backdrop stand and use clips to secure it to the rod. There are grommets installed on one short end to make it easier to hang.
If you're like me, you may need to get a storage container to keep it safe. When not in use, mine resides in a 5 gal. container with a lid which is a bit larger than necessary.
The backdrop was shipped quickly and arrived in perfect condition. If you are looking for a high-quality black backdrop, consider this one.

I used this for the first time at an All White Affair and loved it. It nice and thick so you don't have to worry about being able to see through it. 24ft long is perfect cause it allows enough space between the backdrop and the subject.

We needed a background for a three-camera video interview set and purchased one 10' x 12' and two 10' x 24' sets. The muslin is durable, easily serviced, absorbs light well, and is easy to hang. We find the larger size more effective for the sweep of the set. With subjects set far enough away from it, the fabric texture disappears completely, keeping the focus on the discussants. The price is right for the quality.

This is an excellent Muslin Backdrop! It does have eye loops to hang your backdrop but most surport units do not fit through the eyelets...so just use the sewn sleeve to slide the Backdrop Bar through. It is and beyound what I thought it was going to be. After reading a few reviews, I was surprised it was much thicker than what others reviewed it as!

Muslin worked really well for a 2 camera, single head interview for a documentary. Fabric was a little thin, but doubled over it worked great and gave the producer the negative space that he wanted.

Great background at a great price. a 10x24 will give the greatest versitility. If you need it smaller, just fold it lenghwise you have a 5x24(sure you can do the math yourself) to save room. This drop is very solid in color and heavy weight fabric are a testimate to quality. This will stand up to alot of foot traffic especially our "little clients" that are always running around between shots. You will not be disappointed!
