very useful product. holds my iphone 3G tightly but without scratching. mount stays in the cupholder without damaging the plastic.
it's a bit difficult to adjust the neck - i found i had to do the adjusting before i tightened it into the cupholder or if i tried to bend it it would push the mount out of the holder.

I purchased this cup holder mount to give me a solution to mounting a iPod Nano in my vehicle.
First of all the good-
This mount is well made and sturdy. It looks good and is very adjustable due to the flexible holder arm. This mount was easily fitted and secured to the vehicles cup holder. The device holder comes with two sets of clamps which are rubberized to prevent damage to the iPods finish. The clamps themselves are of two different sizes and are easily removed and installed in the corresponding slots on the holders back. All quick and easy to adjust.
Now the bad -
I have found it impossible to securely use this holder to hold my thin iPod Nano, There simply isn't enough adjustment with the included clamps.
My solution was just to leave my iPod in the carry holder I have and just put the whole thing into the holder itself and used a rubber band to hold it all together. Since I don't leave the unit in the vehicle anyways when not with it,so it's no big deal.For my uses this mount works fine.
Overall quality is excellent and only the difficulty of being unable to put my iPod in this holder as they have advertised got this a 3 star rating. I think for a larger iPhone or other apparatus this would work just fine.

This product is really convenient and Cheap. I use it a lot. One draw back, the clip that holds the phone in place broke, but I tried living without it and it was inconvenient. So what's another $7 for my comfort. I bought another one and I sent in my broken one for warranty replacement. I recommend this product, if you can live without having two available cup holder in the front seat of your car. I am.

If your cup holder in your car is in the right place, then this is probably the best cup holder mount that you can buy. It is very sturdy and is very easy to install. It accommodates various sizes and designs of cup holders. The neck is not long and is very stiff, so adjusting it is hard, but once adjusted, it stays put. The thing I like most is that the cradle is adjustable and it comes with two different sizes of side clips. I can set it do my iPhone 4, with case, easily slides in and can be easily removed - no need to squeeze it from the sides to hold the phone like with universal mounts. It feels like its custom fit. Works great in the forward cup holder of my Prius and fits the dashboard pullout type cup holder in my truck.

I use this product daily and only remove it when I go to car wash. It is not an eye sore and does not take up alot of room. I do most of my driving alone so using one of the cup holders for this product is not a big deal. It has 2 different size "holsters" to hold your phone and it allows clear access to my iPhone charger so I can charge my iPhone while driving as well.

I use this product in my Mini Cooper, and it even fits right into those small useless cup holders that Mini designed. It's tight, because it has to fit between the shift knob and the dash but I was impressed with how you can manipulate the neck. It's very sturdy and well built, feels like a quality item. Great price too! I just plug my iPhone for in and I'm ready to listen to music without my phone sitting on my lap or something. It's much safer for driving, that's for sure.

The base unit twists to expand and lock itself into your drink holder. Because this is typically a plastic to plastic grip, it tends not to lock very tightly. If the unit isn't prevented from moving by the shape of the holder, it still will.
The phone fits in well. The plastic grips that hold the phone can be in three position and two different sizes of grips are included. The larger grips worked perfectly with my Motorola Photon.
