Monostat RS16K CARBON ART Carbon Fiber Monopod with Anti Rotation Tubing (Black)
The Monostat RS16K CARBON ART Carbon Fiber Monopod with Anti Rotation Tubing is an "all-around" mid-range monopod that offers ultra-steady positioning due to its unique "Swivel Toe Stabilizer" foot. Due to the ball-socket friction-bearing design of the foot, involuntary movements around the longitudinal axis of the leg are prevented while obtaining smooth motion in the horizontal axis for the purpose of following moving objects, or shooting panoramic views. This ensures steady shots even in the most extreme telephoto positions.
The ART designation means that this version offers anti rotation tubing, which makes it easier and faster to set up. In addition, the top leg section comes protected with non-slip foam, for improved handling in extreme weather conditions. The twist locks feature rubber collars, which makes for easier operation.
- Anti rotation tubing makes it possible to open and close the tripod faster and easier. Simply turn all of the locking rings at once and the whole leg can be pulled out in seconds.
- Carbon fiber materials are very shock and vibration absorbent, but still relatively lightweight

I tested the RS-16K as soon as I received it. It works very well with my camcorder and my Nikon D-300 as well. With video there was no shake noticed.
It is very light and stable. When I cannot use a tri-pod it is nice to know this can be a very effective monopod. I have not found any negatives.

Nice product, sturdy and well made. However, at this price (for what is essentially a extension tube with a rubber foot and a screw on top), it certainly better be! Also, its inexcusable that Monostat doesn't include a carrying case at this price. Obviously, it makes it more difficult to arrange a suitable method of carrying it. Bottom line, its not worth the money.

This is an incredible monopod. Sturdy, but light in weight. Carbon fiber is the best. I have no regrets in spending a little extra for the carbon fiber. It makes all the difference. I shoot video with XDCAM and love the stability it gives me. I can pick up and move quickly and not worry what I set it down on.
