The Metz mecablitz 45CL-4 Digital TTL Handle Mount Flash Kit is a heavy-duty handle mount flash that supports even the advanced TTL systems used with Digital SLR cameras: E-TTL II flash mode from Canon, i-TTL/i-TTL-BL and D-TTL from Nikon or ADI flash control from Sony/Minolta.
The 45 series is the smallest amongst Metz handle-mount flashes that provide TTL capability. In conjunction with the SCA-3045 connection cable (included) and a dedicated SCA 3002 system module, this flash will fully support all advanced functions of the camera and/or flash (where supported by the camera).
This "digital kit", includes the SCA-3045 (MZ 53045) TTL cable, the high-power 45-57 NiMH Battery Cluster (MZ 53045), a matching Universal charger, a battery holder for dry cells (45-39), a wide angle diffuser (45-42) and a camera bracket (32-38). With the addition of a camera-specific dedicated TTL module, this set-up offers modern recharging technology with fully dedicated TTL flash control.
Lots of features are packed into a compact flash for its class, such as an auxiliary fill-flash light, bounce and swivel capacity, wide-angle diffuser and more.

The Mecablitz Flash gun is great as always and will never use anything else, but the SCA 3502 adapter for the Leica M8 & M7 and the optional SCA 3045 cable look great and all most work just as good as the Leica SF 24D.(especially in TTL mode on the Leica M7. The SCA 3502 and the SCA 3045 have some power issues, (could be a Kelvin issue, but if you buy the Metz Power pack P76 it should solve the problem.

Been using metz flash for years with canon eos film camera, now upgrading for digital, great flash works well with canon eos 7d, as usual bulk can be a drawback, however keeos camera stable
