The Sunpak FlexPod Pro Gripper is a versatile miniature tripod/grip that's appropriate for any point and shoot style camera, as well as many smaller SLR setups (such as any Olympus DSLR with standard zoom lens).  Load ratings are based on a perfectly-centered load; in practical terms, the FlexPod Pro Gripper's appropriate for use with any point and shoot camera in any position you like, and many SLR cameras can be supported in a large variety (but not every variety) of positions.

Constructed with a metal core wrapped with a polymer skin, the FlexPod Pro Gripper's rather sturdy and has good 'stiction' to nearly anything you can think of...fences, poles, and tree branches are all acceptable for the FlexPod Gripper, and of course it can be used as a traditional table-top tripod, too.

Comments about Sunpak FlexPod Pro Gripper Flexible Mini-Tripod (Black):

I picked one of these up on a whim, and for a while, it worked great. I used it for my off camera flash at three different outdoor shoots, and I wrapped it around trees, poles, and just about anything else in sight. But, partway through the third shoot, one of the legs completely broke off. The legs are a bendable wire that seems to not be all that durable. I'm going to replace it with the original Gorillapod.

Comments about Sunpak FlexPod Pro Gripper Flexible Mini-Tripod (Black):

I use this primarily to support on-camera style LED lights for video production in situations where I can't use a c-stand or a normal support.

The tripod is stable and flexible. The legs bend easily and stay in the shape desired. I wouldn't use it to support anything over about one pound.
