Comments about Onkyo TX-SR307 Home Theater Receiver (Black):
The receiver has more than adequate features to meet my needs for a surround sound system for TV & DVD. It was easy to set up, has enough power, an A/B speaker switch. The remote is easier to use than most. Would liked to have had a phono input on the unit.

Comments about Onkyo TX-SR307 Home Theater Receiver (Black):
First, I have to say that setting up my new Onkyo TX-SR307 would have been much easier if I already had a 5.1 surround sound speaker system. The directions are all oriented toward that. However, I don't, yet. So I'm using it with my old KLH three way w/passive sub-woofer, and with some trial and error, as well as my son the recording engineer's help, we managed to get it set up so that it sounds good--really good. We still couldn't get it to switch between DVD's and my Verizon FIOS cable box using HDMI switching. The DVD player (also an Onkyo) works fine, but we had to resort to component connections for CBL/SAT. Perhaps its a problem with my TV, or with the FIOS cable box. However, we did find a way around the problem. So, am I unhappy? No, not in the least, because the receiver does everything it was designed to do. Even in stereo the sound is much clearer (and more pleasant)than my former stereo receiver only system. I've been around the audio world long enough to know that the output is no better than the input, and this receiver demonstrates it. This is my first 5.1 receiver, my first high tech A/V device, and my second Onkyo product. I plan to keep it a long time, and I'm waiting for the day when I can hook it up to a good sub-woofer to I can hear those 32hz or lower organ pipes from my CD collection. And, as always B&H's prices [...] is unbeatable. Now for that sub-woofer . . .

Comments about Onkyo TX-SR307 Home Theater Receiver (Black):
I purchased this product because of the Dynamic Volume technology. For my purposes this receiver works great. My only disappointment is that I'm not able to register with Onkyo, because they have no provisions for customers who live on U.S. Territories. Therefore, I'm still in limbo with Onkyo for product registration.
