The Motorola T9650R Talkabout Two-Way Radio is a handy little radio to keep in the car, stuff in your backpack or toss in the gear bag of both you and your assistant.

The T9650R has a 28 mile range (based on environmental factors) which means it can be used on the trail or simply for a day out shopping at your local mall. The 22 channels give you plenty of communication options and the 11 weather channels will provide you with enough warning of bad weather to head in for the day.

It is operated by 3 "AA" batteries - easily replaced anywhere on the road, or by an optional rechargeable NiMH battery pack. For added convenience, you get VOX, hands-free operation (with an optional accessory) so you can keep both hands free while on the trail.
