The Samson XP40i Portable PA System is an integrated powered speaker with switchable mic and line level inputs, built-in 40 watt amplifier, rechargeable battery and iPod dock. This portable, integrated system is well suited for PA applications during conferences, presentations, background music, entertaining and more. Two switchable mic and line level inputs are provided. The XLR / 1/4" combi-connector even provides phantom power to condenser mics. The 6" woofer and 1" high frequency driver ensure pristine audio quality. Additional features include bass and treble controls, sturdy construction and pole-mount base.

I wanted a speaker to play songs from my ipod during gym practices. This works great. Hard to believe such a small system can fill a gym with clear loud sound. The wireless microphone works great too - I've used it to introduce sports teams for games. An excellent system. Well-built, solid, easily portable.

GOOD VALUE BETTER THAN BUYING A BOOM BOX OR DEWALT RADIO. BUILT VERY WELL AND NOT TO LARGE TO CARRY AROUND OR FIT IN YOUR CAR. SOUND IS GOOD WITH SEPARATE BASE AND TREBLE AND PEAK LIGHT. I USE IPOD OR MY PHONE. CANT SAY HOW LONG THE BATTERY LAST AS I ONLY USED FOR A HOUR BEFORE I PLUGED IN TO ELECTRIC. WOULD RECOMMEND IF YOU NEED A PORTABLE SOUND SYSTEM.
