Vixen's 5-15x17 Zoom Monocular has a 5.5° viewing field at the low-magnification end, decently wide enough for some moderate surveying of a landscape, and can zoom all the way to 15x magnification as sort of a handheld spotting scope in bright light.
This also works as a magnifier, as it can focus upon objects as close as just ~8" (20cm) away.
The zooming and the focusing are both accomplished by distinct turning helicoids, and you won't have to take your eye away from the eyepiece to do either one.
