I had a big smudge on my dslr sensor (more accurately, the low pass filter) and ordered this (as a non-wet option) along with the Visible Dust Smear Away (as the wet option). There were a few additional dust bunnies on my sensor that the SensorKlear Pen easily took away. It also seemed to reduce the smudge though didn't take out the spot completely even after three passes.(I am guessing it was some kind of grease spot). It also introduced some dust bunnies of its own, but the additional passes took it away. The articulated tip makes it easy to maneuver. I found this to be quite safe to use and would recommend it for simple dust that you can't get with just a blower. For more heavy duty spots use a wet method.

Best to get a microfiber cloth, a white one, and tamp off the excess graphite from the cleaning tip first. Tamp, do not rub, or you will rub off the tip.

After completion, use the blower again to blast out the stuff you dislodged.

If dots still remain, use sensor cleaning fluid on the tip. Finish with a second dry tip. Blow out again.

Very handy item to have for cleaning your sensor. I gave it 4 stars as my last one had the material on the tip fall off. Ordered two in case it happens again.

The image sensor on my 5D mark II was getting pretty dirty, so I decided to give this product a try, as it was cheap, compact, and seemed easy to use. After swabbing and then checking for dust about 8 times over nearly an hour, I gave up. It took the dust that was on the sensor and just moved it around...so wherever I stopped moving the pen I was left with a pile of dust. It didn't actually remove anything...in fact I think it's much worse now. I tried using it in unison with a blower as well...no luck. Also, tried doing it while laying on my back so as not to introduce more dust. So, perhaps it works for some, but it was a total fail for me. On another note...the other lenspen products work great, just bad luck on this sensor cleaner.

My camera came back from service with a fingerprint on the sensor. All my cameras are 4/3 or micro-4/3, and since their dust protection systems work very well, I had no prior experience cleaning sensors. This proved to be very easy to use. It took me only a couple of minutes with a rocket blower and the pen to "erase" the print. Testing afterwards showed a perfectly clean sensor. No stress, no mess, and no problem.

I've been a big fan of the LensPen for many years. The ease of use carries over to this product. Used only once so far and seemed to do the job quickly and easily without leaving marks or residue.

I was hesitant to use a dry system, but based on other reviews I gave it a try and it worked really well. Allows you to get right into the edges.

I use this along with my Visible Dust sensor loupe. It gets my sensor clean. Easy to use, no streaking (unlike wet solutions for cleaning your sensor).

I have a 6 year old canon 20d that had some specs on the sensor and did not want to send it to canon. I bought the pen to see if I could get them off. It work great and now my camera is as good as new. Great price and easy to use. Thanks!!!
