Yukon has passed over garden-variety intensification systems for this NVD - opting instead for digital technology that outperforms gen-1 devices while comparing favorably with 2nd generation systems.
While the form-factor of this Ranger Pro seems to suggest that it is a binocular, it is in fact a monocular - what appears to be a pair of objective lenses is actually one objective paired with a powerful IR illuminator. The second integral IR illuminator greatly enhances the systems versatility by allowing the user to adjust the field of illumination to suit the environment.
