I initially bought this bag to transport and use while on vacation skiing in Breckenridge. I already have a Trekker backpack, but needed a bag to access without unloading from my back, and the issue with chair lifts and exposure of equipment while opening a whole flap on backpack.
I was able to load the following just to use as my carry on for the airlines:
Canon 30D w/grip attached
EF 24-105L
EF 70-200/2.8
Sigma 30mm/1.4
Sigma 10-20mm
Tamron 17-50mm/2.8
Canon 530EX Speedlite
Garmin GPS
two "walkie-talkies"
battery charger
various chargers for phone, Nintendo DS, etc.
pack of smokes
I only carried one lens attached and another stowed while skiing, and this sort of made the bag too large. The bag was easy to transfer from on back to in front while loading the chair lift. Access was easy and not cumbersome, though after a while I wish I had the smaller 100 Slingshot for mobility purposes. The access door has a nice design, and allows either limited or full access to all of your equipment.
Though I purchased the 200 series, in the future I may limit my carry on equipment and get the 100 series for better portability and mobility while skiing or other high mobility activities such as cycling, snowboarding, etc.
In the long run, the bag holds more than I thought I could fit in it. Well padded and constructed. Sling, when fastened snugly, is comfortable. For long hikes, or times when center of gravity is important, my Micro Trekker would be my first choice. For quick access and mobility, in and out shooting, this bag excels.

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 200 AW Camera Bag (Bordeaux Red):
This is a nicely designed bag for someone venturing beyond casual photography. It carries my Canon 40D with battery grip plus one or two extra lenses, flash and all the other essentials I need. However, I could have used about an extra half inch of depth to more easily fit the camera with battery grip attached. The triangular upper compartment is a curiosity. It's basically a dump pouch with only one small mesh side pocket. It's somewhat useful to store extras as long as you don't mind them sloshing around a bit. Overall, I'm very pleased with this bag and the construction is very good.

Got this bag to carry my new Canon T1i and accessories. The camera fits well and has room for future accessories like additional lenses. Price at B&H was less than anywhere else.

Comments about Lowepro SlingShot 200 AW Camera Bag (Bordeaux Red):
This is definately a great bag. I bought this because I wanted a backpack, but I also wanted easier access than a backpack. And this bag provides that!
I went with the 200 because as soon as I get another lens, I would have outgrown the 100. This bag fits my Canon XSi w/ Battery Grip, my two lenses, and all my accessories great!
It is confortable to wear all day, especially with the stability strap.
Build quality is great, and I love the built in weather cover. This is my first camera bag, but I will definately come back to LowePro when the times comes for another one.
The only problem I've had (and it's not really a problem, more of an inconvenience) is the front pocket is a bit small. I keep my remote switch, manual, a small notepad, and a pen in there.

This is a great bag for a Digital SLR. I have a 200mm L. with a flash an extra memory cards with still room left over. The bag is made well and compact with plenty of room inside too. Price well it is from B&H, you can't beat them!

I am currently on vacation in Aruba, and using this bag for the first time. I love it. I have a Rebel XTi, a 18-55 lens and a 70-300 lens. I also carry with me a few filters, a point and shoot camera, extra baterries - etc.
Due to recent airline security breaches, I used only this bag as my carry on - and I was able to also fit a book, and a few other small carry on items.
This bag has worked great - I love the fact that you can easily swing it in front of you for easy access and almost a shelf to work on.
The inside organizers can me moved around - but there are not a lot of options there - that would be the one thing I would change.

I love this bag! I just had an event that required me to be on a bicycle and ride around a camp taking photos. Very quick and easy access to my camera. I am not sure if I had bought this from a store rather than online and was able to look at this bag compared to the next bigger one, I may have gone with the next size up.

Just what I've been looking for to manage my Nikon D300. Big enough for the D300 holding my Tamron 18-270 lens, versatile enough for a sling or backpack, and quick entry for camera retrieval.

Easy to carry. Easy to access gear. A bit small if you carry any big lenses.
