Allen & Heath XONE:22 2-Channel Professional DJ Mixer
The Allen & Heath XONE:22 2-Channel DJ Mixer delivers professional features at an entry level price. The 2-channels feature phono (turntable) and line inputs, each with a 3-band full-cut isolator EQ.
A "lite" version of the XONE's VCF filter is also featured. The output section is equipped with balanced XLR Main outputs, RCA phono Monitor outputs and RCA phono Record outputs. The XONE:22 is built tough and will withstand the rigors of life on the road or in the DJ booth.

I've been using it for a little while and it sounds great, feels great and looks great. The only thing it's lacking is a power switch, but i can live without it. The knobs feel really good and it does come with some spare ones. The onboard filter is awesome, definitely a quality product!

Owned a Pioneer DJM 400 before this and this is just as good for half the price. Lacks the typical onboard effects on the unit but who needs them, the high pass, low pass filter effects found in the middle of the unit makes up for it.

In a nutshell: it's got that A+H sound, but only two channels and cutback version of the A+H filters found on the 92 and others. I use it as an external mixer for Traktor Duo, and for that it works well. Traktor gives me some added FX that I wouldn't have with the just the A+H. It also gives me another HP/LP filter, which brings the filter usage options closer to the the bigger mixers.
I've found the sound output to be quite good and the build quality is sturdy. I use it at home, but I could imagine it holding up well on the road if you needed to take it out.
There is an FX loop, but I've never used it since I'm running the FX off of Traktor. However, there is no third auxiliary channel, which would be nice for running a sample deck through.
The closest competitor to the Xone:22 would probably be the NUO 2.0 from Ecler. With the NUO you get the auxiliary channel, which was almost a selling point for me. Unfortunately, at about $150 more than the Xone, I decided I could live without it.
As a final note about the sound quality, while I find it to be really good for this level of mixer, there is a notable hiss coming out of the left channel of the headphones. I've tried to get it to go away by messing around with various nobs, but only succeeded in getting a matching hiss out of the right headphone channel (by turning the mic level, next to the headphone jack, all the way up). For a fussy audiophile I'm sure this would be utmost annoying, but since it doesn't show up on the monitor output and it's "gone" once some music is playing, it is not something that bothers me at all.

sound quality is decent for the price, not great. i like the alternative metering mode, it's pretty helpful visual clue, and looks good. the filter is a nice bonus. overall i'm happy for the money.
