This camera is my first replacement purchase in quite some time. I bought this little blue gem just one day before visiting my son in Toronto, CA. It was a great choice, and I've been enjoying it ever since. It has everything I expected with features I'm still finding out about.
It comes with a picture software CD, USB connector and 128SD card. The one thing that hurts this camera is the battery life. I think if you use energizers it will last longer, as the Duracell's die rather quickly. I'll likely invest in rechargeables at some point, but overall this is a fantastic point and shoot camera, I highly recommend it!

I bought this for my wife, and she loves it. The compact size fits nicely in her purse, the color looks cool, and it takes great pictures without the need for a lot of photographic knowledge. There is a brief lag time, but that doesn't bother her.

Comments about Canon PowerShot A1100 IS Digital Camera (Blue):
The camera is easy to use and has many nice features. I find it difficult to open the battery and card slot as there isn't enough grip to make the job easy. The online manual covers all the settings and when I went to print it... it was 120+ pages! But worth it! Very easy to use and great for party and low light shots. Highly recommended!

I went to Asheville last week to the Biltmore Flower Festival and I got wonderful shots.
The only drawback was the battery life so I got a battery charger with rechargeable batteries for less than $20 so that problem should be resolved.

I have a Nikon D40 camera but wanted a camera to take with me on motorcycle rides and events like that. The PowerShot A1100 IS fit the bill perfectly. It's very compact and I have to say that "point and shoot cameras" have come a long way. This thing is pretty smart! Whether it be day, night, indoors or outdoors the Canon does a great job! So far I haven't taken a bad shot with it. I haven't seen anything that I don't like about it.

I have been using a Canon DSLR for the last 5 years, I still love that camera but wanted something to toss in my bag on a daily basis.
My new blue beauty is exactly what I needed! Small, lightweight and easy to use. Clear photos and not too bad lag time between shots. Great little camera for the price.

I had a pink one of these and loved it so much I bought a blue one. It made over 2000 beautiful photos of a Chicago trip I took in September 2009. I took lots of pics on the manual settings and got some great shots of the night lights, beautiful skies and skylines, and impressed everyone in my group. The image stabilization and autofocus makes this super easy to shoot without a tripod or on a ledge or tiny table-top tripod.

I purchased this before I went to Florida on a business trip. It worked so well, I had no problems with it. It's smaller, lighter and I love the larger LCD screen. Also, this comes in the super-cute metallic blue color. The only thing I don't like is the lag time between shots, but, it's only slow when using the flash. Other than that......Love it!

First time we used the camera was as a backup camera for trip to Namibia and South Africa. It performs very well. When camera size is an issue, it's wonderful. My husband is not fond of using either my DSLR's or the camcorder, so this is a great solution for him. Bought a waterproof/dust proof housing that expanded it's use quite a bit. Using AA batteries is definite plus, when you are in the middle of nowhere.

The AUTO setting takes the guesswork out of taking good pictures in most situations.
The battery/memory card compartment is difficult to open and close.
The cover over the USB cable attachment is difficult to open and close.

My 13 yr old daughter received this camera for her birthday. SHe has used it EVERY day, EVERY where. Our family vaction pics to Europe were superb. She uses all the "stuff" to make single frame cartoon videos, enhanced photos, action shots, you name it. This is a great camera! We did purchase rechargable batteries, however. It does go thru batteries quickly.

Comments about Canon PowerShot A1100 IS Digital Camera (Blue):
I bought this camera as a gift for my wife, who wanted a small-format cam that she could easily carry in her purse that would take quality photos. She also wanted a decent zoom. This camera came through with flying colors. And speaking of colors, the blue body is a perfect touch for her.
It also contains sufficient settings to personalize your photos, while still offering true point and shoot simplicity for those who don't want to mess with such things.
One downside I've seen so far is that it is a little slow between shots when using the flash. If that isn't a huge detriment for you, I highly recommend the A1100. A great little camera at a budget price.
