Comments about Canon PowerShot A480 Digital Camera (Black):
Love the camera. My complaints with this camera are that it isn't rechargeable via electrical outlet, and it has a lag time between photos.
I researched cameras in this price range and this seemed to be the camera every review pointed towards...and rightly so. High quality pics and a smokin price.

I have a large body 10 megapixel Canon camera and bought this one for trips on my motorcycle. It's so easy to use, and so nicely sized, I find myself using it more than my larger Canon.

Not the greatest, but I will ultimately have paid around [$]for this camera. So no complaints from me. Beats the Canon I paid nearly[$] for some 4 years ago.

Comments about Canon PowerShot A480 Digital Camera (Black):
Bought this for my mother, and it's her first digital camera. She's not a tech person, so finding an easy-to-use intuitive device was important. This camera fit the bill. As a Canon Powershot, it delivers on basic quality and she seemed to find it easy to use. I have only two real complaints:
1) when you rotate pics on the camera, they aren't rotated off the camera. When you rotate them off-camera they can't be rendered on the camera. It's a small thing, but potentially very, very confusing to a mom.
2) the SD card is located in the same compartment with the batteries. Which means that every time you remove it, you have to reset the date and such. I suppose the message is that the the designers don't think you will be removing the card (I guess USB cable is the only blessed method for accessing the photos). However, we also happened to give her a digital picture frame, for which the most natural method of importing photos is from an SD card. Minor, but annoying. Or frustrating and confusing, if you are mom...

Great quality images and a terrific price. Got this for my college age son. One of the appealing features is that it uses AA batteries. Perfect for the college age kid who can keep a couple extra batteries in a drawer but will never remember to plug in a charger!

Don't be the small size of the camera deceive you. It does what it's promisse. The ergonometry shoud be better, but all point and shoot cameras have this problem.

IT JUST TAKES VERY GOOD PICTURES, THE LCD IS NOT THE GREATEST, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SEE HOW GREAT YOUR PICTURES REALLY ARE IN IT ,BUT IT DOES NOT HINDER YOU IN TAKING THE PICTURE. FOR THIS PRICE(LCD) IT IS ON PARR.
