The Toshiba 19AV600U 19" 720p HD LCD TV offers many benchmark features and convenience functions at a price point that truly proves that HD is available to everyone.
The Cinespeed panel's 8ms response time coupled with a 60Hz video scan rate ensure that action sequences and gaming are smooth and judder-free. Cinema Mode 24 fps provides a film-like experience from source material (ex Hollywood) shot at that frame rate.
An ATSC/NTSC/QAM enables reception of standard cable channels as well as off-air digital broadcasts and future-proofs the TV in advance of the nationwide digital changeover in June 2009. Channel Browser is a life raft for those who regularly surf the 500-1000 cable channels available. It allows scanning through the last 32 viewed channels, displaying screen images for the last 5 watched, by channel, favorites or source input.
The 19AV600U is equipped with DynaLight Dynamic Back-Light Control, which provides deep blacks, rich shadows and smooth color transition, as well as an HDMI input for 1-cable HD connection between your TV and your digital source.

Excellent TV and great value for the money. Used a 75' HDMI cable (a cheap one) and digital picture and digital audio are excellent. This TV is great for our Kitchen (13x21), mounted on the wall at one end under the upper cabinets. Excellent picture. The digital audio throught the HDMI cable is much louder then the audio through the "antenna connection." Overall the ONLY complaint is the audio is a little "tinney sounding" but not too bad by any means.We liked it so well we just ordered another just like it, a Christmas gift for our son for their bedroom.[...]

I've researched a lot for a little kitchen TV and finally I bought this Toshiba. I also have a 50" Panasonic state of the art Plasma TV, but this little LCD shines in image quality.
The image is as good as it gets, very stable signal wise (does not loose or lock on digital channels), audio ok, remote very easy and good. It's not perfect, but it's a very-very good TV.

Great picture and sound and extremely simple to setup. It took about 5 minutes to get it up and running with cable, a DVD and VCR including a test of all the connections. The manual was not necessary.

I bouth this tv about a month and a half ago, and it has been
great, the quality of the colors and sound is very good! I bouth it
for my room, it saves space and it looks pretty good i have not
mount it on the wall but im sure that it would look better on the wall!
Things that are great about it is that if you see it from the side
it still looks great the image is not distortined by watching from an angle,
the things that are not so great is the reseption of hd chanesl but im not
sure is not just the tv its also my antena, another not so great aspect is when i
play my PS2 on the tv the image ia not as good as on my
analog toshiba, i woud guess that is because it needs an HDMI cable
but that is not supported by the plataform, so if you have a PS3 im sure the
quality will be better! And for those that have complained about the
sound, i have no complains about it its goood enough for my room and my room
is big!

The picture is impressive and translates well either up close or from a distance. This little TV is miles above a similar sized LG I purchased a year ago for twice the price, and it looks just as good as my 36" Sony Bravia. The audio is crisp and clear. As of yet I have found nothing wrong with this little unit.
