It seems that anything I buy -- even if it says "assembles in two minutes" -- is difficult for me to figure out. But not this DVD player. It was so easy I almost didn't need the instructions. The remote worked right away and I was able to watch a DVD. This thing is streamlined, lightweight, easy to set up and use, and at a really great price from B&H.

We've been using the SD4200 for about a week. It does everything claimed and does it well. It's a little light on creature comforts and added features, but we expected that. Plays all our DVD-R's which was our main consideration in purchasing this unit.

I just purchased this DVD player and it works well. I am using it on an older TV so I am not sure if the picture is better on a newer flat screen TV but it does what I needed it for.

Sure, they put an LED display on it but decided to make it only four digits long. It doesn't tell you the time elapsed on the players face, only what number chapter your on. Pretty slick.
On the plus side, its easy to hack for all-region.
