I bought this model for two reasons: the huge screen, and to use on airplanes since flying is so little fun any more. The screen can't be beat--big and beautful resolution. But the overall size of the unit is a bit big/heavy after the battery is added to the bottom. Too bulky for the plane for my tastes (and that great big screen made it hard to find a good case) ,but a fabulous portable DVD player for all other purposes.Size of a small laptop with a long-life battery.
