My bulb recently went out (with an audible pop), after what was only 755 hours of usage. This is far from the "up to" 4000 hours stated by Epson.
When I put in the new bulb, which was easy to do, it was bright and looks great. I'm just concerned about the longevity of this bulb. While B&H has reasonable pricing and great service, the bulb is still a high cost part.

I have owned several 1080P projectors and have bought the 70% off replacement lamps which are made for profit and not for goold bright light. Several of the cheap ones popped and one exploded ruining a previous projector.After research I stuck with good old B&H who does not sell knock offs or grey market goods.Always buy from the ones you trust and there is no other trusted electonics dealer in the US than B&h

I have the The Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 8500UB and have used it as home theater projector for mere 297 hours prior to the lamp malfunctioning and needing replacement. Not sure its the lamp fault but overall great disappointment from what is a flagship of Epson's home HD projector.

It was amazing how dull our old lamp had gotten. Once we placed this new one in it was like having a brand new projector. Lamp was easy to install and shipping was really fast. I was worried about something this fragile being shipped, bit it was packaged well and survived the commute. I would highly recommend getting this lamp, B&H does you right and their products are just like the description!
FYI, Don't forget to clean your projector filter once a month!

This bulb is as bright as the original, and works perfectly. B&H Photo shipped it to me within 2 business days. Couldn't ask for anything more.
One thing to note though, a lot of people have mentioned that this bulb does not last the number of hours Epson claims it will. My original bulb lasted 1450 hours. I'm optimistically hoping for this replacement bulb will last a little longer than that.

Although B&H has this listed for the 6500 I checked the part numbers and it seemed to match the lamp for the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 6100 (which I have). It seems to work fine. I had forgotten how incredible and bright the image could be. Looks like new. The lamp seems to be a genuine Epson product and not a third party knock off. It came with instruction, the lamp and the lamp housing, and a screwdriver to swap it out. Took 5 minutes to replace, just flip the lid, unscrew 2 screws, pull out the old lamp, and reverse steps. The only drawback is the price. B&H was the cheapest I could find anywhere yet I wish it was as cheap as the generic brands. I read of a lot of generics failing so I bit the bullet with the price. Great purchase but would have been perfect if it was cheaper.

My original lamp only lasted 971 hours. Just installed this lamp - hope it lasts longer. This lamp with housing was easy to install in my Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 8350.

This is a replacement lamp for a video projector. There are cheaper knock-off versions on the web but according the reviews, they smoke, pop, and fail almost immediately. So I paid full price and my picture is superb again.

Product was easy to install, exact replacement from the manufacturer and included a simple tool to make the job easier and quick. Highly recommended vs off brand knock off. Picture / brightness appears to be just like when the projector was new over a year ago.
