The Trek-Tech 00095 OptiMount is a mounting device designed to clamp to the TrekPod, tripod leg or light stand leg. It allows mounting of a camera or spotting scope with 1/4-20 connectivity to a round, stable surface for macro imaging or scope observation.

After looking at many different small tripods and various mounting methods, I decided on the Optimount and so far I have not been disappointed. When I'm out shooting auroras I like using several cameras at the same time and I use it for attaching my Canon S90 to my Manfrotto tripod that I use with my Canon 7D. The unit is rugged and the super magnet camera attachment system on the ball head works well.
