Really great product for the cash. The built in features like a diffuser and white reflector, eTTL and manual options really make this a great product. I have had problems getting the camera to fire it during the daylight once, but batteries were low.
Highly recommended - esp considering a guide number of 125 - which is only about 15 short of the Canon 430 EX II!

I used it to supplement available light during long exposures. It worked really well. Takes a little longer than the Canon Speedlite to recycle and be ready. Ate through the batteries pretty fast. Other than that, did a great job and the built-in diffuser helps to soften the light.

Bought this in a pinch for a couple of wedding gigs I was doing. Works well although I find it doesnt always lock on on the first shot and blows it out terribly. Rest assured its not a Speedlite but it works fine if you're not looking to blow 400+ on a flash.

Comments about Bower SFD926C Digital Shoe Mount Flash for Canon SLR:
This was my first external flash. I used this mainly for Night Club Photography. I have shot over 50 events, which are tens of thousands of photos.. Then I went to shoot a fashion show, and it froze on me. screen froze, wouldnt do anything.. Stayed like that for about a half an hour. Messed up some pics of the models coming down the runway.
A couple weeks down the line, I was shooting in a night club, and the cold shoe just broke off, and it was no longer useable. I admit, I did drop it once before(month or so prior to the cold shoe breaking). The cold shoe is plastic which is #NoBueno. Stay away from these. Just think about the weight of the flash, plus batteries, plus a diffuser(gary fong collapsible)- if you really use this, and also do alot of vertical shots, moving this thing around alot, it will break on you. I just bought me a Canon 430EX ii. This is the way to go. It is more money, but well worth the investment.

After reading the reviews I feel the same as most of the 3-4 star comments. I have only shot a handful of pics on different setting with this flash and so far I am pleased. I am not sure how much more you would get out of you money going with a Cannon or more $$$ flash. So far so good

I bought two of these bad boys, I use them on top of light stands with umbrellas and they do a great job at night. They provide quality lighting without the need of any plugins.
my only problem is the material they are made out of, a little cheap if you ask me

i´m a weeding´ photograper and my 580II failed after 4 years, now i bought this just while fix my flash, but this is something poor in the options but is good for save the moment and save money, i discovered that is the same flash that polaroid, too is necesary to buy a difuser-(cover), it just can change a little the power 1/1,1/4,1/8,1/16. and the shoe is plastic.
my conclusion is that for pro is not the option.

Comments about Bower SFD926C Digital Shoe Mount Flash for Canon SLR:
A great value alternative to the more expensive genuine Canon flashes. I just wanted a simple flash that was better than the built in one, don't need all the extra bells & whistles that the genuine Canon offers. Works well in most situations, however, when using the focal lengths less than 24mm, I have to remember to use the diffuser for the light to fill the whole frame (Canon 15-85 f4.5-5.6 USM).

Comments about Bower SFD926C Digital Shoe Mount Flash for Canon SLR:
This is a great product, its got a hefty bulb in there! I love how you can swivel it, even if it does take a few tries to get the perfect angle (thats human error!)
I was surprised though at how litte instructions there were with the flash, as I didn't know how to use a couple of the buttons on the screen and the batteries didn't come with the product.
When I finally put batteries in, it got really heavy, and four AA batteries only last for about 80 flashes?
Still a great product, if not a steppingstone to a better one.
