The Planon DocuPen RC805 pen-sized, full-page color scanner can capture images of documents including text, graphics and signatures, articles in magazines and more. It is lightweight, battery-operated and completely portable, and features expandable memory. It can store hundreds of scanned pages. Scanning any page takes just 4 - 8 seconds at 100 - 400dpi resolution in color and B & W. This pocket sized scanner connects to a computer via its USB port to transfer images and to recharge its battery.
The wand shape tucks easily into a coat pocket, laptop bag or purse. Unlike other pen scanners that can only scan one line at a time, the RC805 is a full-page scanner that can scan paper images, laptop or monitor displays, packages, signage, and more. It comes with PaperPort SE software, a great image editing and organizing tool for all your letters, receipts, pictures, business cards and also integrates with your Outlook, Word, Excel and other applications.

- The DocuPen RC805 uses built-in rechargeable lithium-ion batteries that allows the DocuPen to remain perpetually charged without utilizing a separate charging unit. Once a user plugs the DocuPen into a computer's USB port to download the scanned information, the scanner's batteries are automatically recharged.
- Dual Roller Guiding System
- The DocuPen RC805 offers a dual-roller guiding system to enhance the user experience by creating a smoother scanning operation and a more accurate scan. The dual-roller guiding system includes strategically placed rollers around the scanner lens to distribute operator's pressure evenly for smooth and easy scans.

- The DocuPen comes with PaperPort SE software which is a great image editing and organizing tool for all your letters, receipts, pictures, business cards and also integrates with your Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe PhotoShop and other applications. After transferring your scanned documents you can easily print, fax & e-mail them as well as exporting them into different formats including BMP, JPG, PCX, DCX & TIFF. PaperPort also offered effective optical character recognition (OCR) and allows users to easily create PDFs from Windows applications, and supports document proofing with markup, redlining, editing, and image enhancement features.

I got this product thinking that it was going to be easy to install and easy to use- well it's been a week and i still don't know how to use it.I had to call the technical support hotline just to get the drives that I needed to run the software in windows7. I don't understand you have the latest technology here but are not sending manuals with your product. All you are doing is sending the user in a while goose chase to get the information. if you are doing this just to save some dollars why don't just have a demo and include the link in your box so the user knows where to go and what to do. ridiculous! If I don't get this thing working in the next few days I'm getting my money back.

The product relies on the user having a very smooth surface to work on; it also requires an inordinately steady hand movement and unless hand movement is perfect, it produces very poor quality images; a smart phone camera produced much better results on the same document and also gave the capability of immediately checking the quality of the image; Using this product, the user can only check to see whether a useful image was produced by using a computer with the product's software already loaded.

Guys, I got this pen thinking that it was going to be easy to intall on my new computer- well let me tell you it does not support windows 7. I have been playing with this thing for 1 week and noone has the right driver for it. save yourself the headache and don't buy it.I'm going to return mine

So far it has been good for what I bought it for. I am still learning how to use it, I am getting better every day so it is getting better. I think it is worth the money I paid. I think it will be great when I get the hang of it.

Terrible, just terrible, don't buy it!
The quality of the image is AWFUL. Its very slow and inaccurate. Terrific. Usual cheap photo camera is MUCH better than this. You simply cant use it as it describes.
Don't buy it, don't spend your money, don't repeat my mistake.

I like it actually I dont seem to have any issues thus far and Ive had er for a while yet. I use it for personal and business. On average im at 4 days a week minimum with it. I would recommend this to anybody looking for ease of use when scanning.
