Comments about Canon Lens Cap for TS-E 17mm f/4L Tilt-Shift Lens:
The TS-E 17L lens has a protruding bulbous front element that is susceptible to damage. This cap is essential to its protection, and screws in nicely to the front thread.

Comments about Canon Lens Cap for TS-E 17mm f/4L Tilt-Shift Lens:
I bought this to use for a filter adapter I constructed. If you glue its lens side pieces to the Lee 82mm adapter ring, you can attach a Lee filter holder. It works fine!

Comments about Canon Lens Cap for TS-E 17mm f/4L Tilt-Shift Lens:
I purchased this as a spare to have in case the original one is broken. I realized immediately after getting the TS-E 17mm lens that without this lens cap there is no way to safely store or transport the lens because of the protruding front element.
If you have a TS-E 17mm f/4L lens, it's worth the few bucks to get a spare cap to protect that expensive lens.
