I purchased this monitor to be used in portrait mode and that is a simple adjustment.It sits beside a four year old Samsung monitor that I have always been pleased with, but the color quality and brightness show up the older one, which may be replaced, with an other Samsung, just to please me.

I was looking for a simple 1920x1200 monitor to add to my laptop for when working at home. My laptop dock has a digital output and works well with this monitor. It has no speakers which is fine and no HDMI port -- I would be nice to have one of those...

I plan to buy another one for another system I have. I'm getting spoiled by dual monitors -- especially 1920x1200! The extra lines of resolution is handy.

This monitor is okay for text work but the color and luminance changes from the top to the bottom of the panel render it impossible to use for critical color/photo work. I have a NEC 2690 and was looking for an extra monitor for coding work and I just can't deal with this monitors short comings. I will be getting another NEC and pass this monitor to a friend that isn't as critical as I am.

Well, I just un-boxed this monitor and connected it to its new computer. The system was previously setup at 1680 x 1050 on a 22" monitor. This monitor didn't care. It said, sorry, optimal resolution is 1920 x 1200.. and wouldn't display anything! I had to connect the system to another monitor and reset the resolution to 1920 x 1200. But... after that, and after I toned down the very bright settings, I like what I see so far. The box it came in was a little dinged up and the styrofoam protecting it was cracked in a couple of places, but the monitor seems to have survived ok.
Overall, it's a good monitor. And that's with only 10 minutes of power-on time. :-D

Uses: Business apps, CAD, graphics, etc.
Excellent image quality. Use in a dual-monitor setup with an older Samsung 204B LCD--the 2443 is noticeably better. Did not install the bundled Samsung utilities--no need with Win7 and Lenovo laptop video utilities.
Have been using this LCD for 3-4 months, no problems so far, and no negative comments.

I use it as a part of a dual-monitor setup. I set it on the left from my old 204B SyncMaster by Samsung. The new one is a bit higher (even with the same 1200 of vertical resolution), and it's so much wider. The monitor from B&H came in very good condition [...] no dead pixels. I'm using it for a month now; no problems whatsoever.

This monitor is amazing. . . I had owned an earlier version of this monitor and bought it again for the screen resolution. 1920x1200. Colors and clarity is brilliant. Would definitely recommend this to a friend.

If you are tired of cheap plastic 1920X1080 monitors with a 2 inch stand this is the monitor for you. Well made, great flexibility in position, decent screen quality, 1920X1200 resolution, and a classic business like look with minimal bezel. Oh and a darn good price. It only has one VGA and one DVI port but that is sufficient for me as I have a PC laptop and a Mac laptop connected to it at the same time. A single button pushes switches between them. The calibration out of the box isn't great but it sharpens and colors up nicely after calibrating. Actually the magic bright setting was good out of the box. I actually prefer this size screen and text among all others because its not too large and not too small for easy reading without constantly adjusting font sizes. It is a bare bones monitor, two inputs only, no usb or speakers but I prefer real speakers and a separate usb port anyway even if it is a little more cluttered.

I have to say that when looking for a second display for my Mac Pro, I looked all over the net and spent hours reviewing various displays and manufacturers. I was very close to giving up when I came across this particular display at B&H. It appeared to have everything I was looking for and had very useful specs. So I ordered it, with no problems, it arrived in record time in perfect condition. I have now been using it for nearly 2 weeks and really love it. The color displayed is gorgeous. No defects whatsoever. All adjustments work flawlessly and with ease. It hooked up to my Mac Pro very easily via DVI and has performed magnificently since. I cannot find anything wrong with this purchase, which was, by the way, very affordable. I would recommend this display as well as B&H to anyone out there looking for a great LCD display.Thanks B&H.

I bought one of these monitors for myself and liked it enough that I bought two more for my wife. They are sharp, clear, and the settings are stable. I check the calibration monthly and the month to month change is negligible. The adjustability of the stand is helpful, especially on long days of photo processing and editing.

The monitor looks great on the desk. The display's colors are vivid. The monitor is fast. The one draw back is the inverter noise when the brightness is set below 80. It will drive you right out of a quiet office. Brightness set above 80 will get the noise down below that of a spinning hard drive.

of all the monitors i've ever owned, crt and lcd, i'd have to say that the 2443bwt has been the most brilliant. the colors are excellent. the bezel design is small and simple, further showcasing the large screen size. the resolutions works for this screen size. the height and rotational adjustments are quick and easy. i had this next to my 22" sammy and my 42" HD monitor and it looked the best.

This monitor exhibits a spectacular contrast range and a beautiful picture. The physical and logical adjustments are both comprehensive and intuitive. My only complaint (which dropped it from 5 to 4 stars) is that when you swing the monitor left or right, it wobbles on its base, which I find distracting.
