Comments about Alan Gordon Enterprises Mini Director's Viewfinder:
Used in the field and studio to frame shots for independent film projects; also used as a pre-visualization tool in assessing locations and for still photography work.
The Mini Director's Viewfinder provides a broad range of aspect ratios and focal lengths, and the capability to quickly switch one or both -- all in a compact design that keeps the instrument handy but unobtrusive. The construction is solid, and there's no sloppiness or looseness in the controls. The focusing eyepiece will accommodate a comfortable spectrum of eye-points.
Excellent value!

The operation of the format iris is smooth as silk. The only concern I have with this longterm is that there is a mild mechanical noise when operating the zoom.

Comments about Alan Gordon Enterprises Mini Director's Viewfinder:
I definitely like this viewfinder. As a cinematographer working primarily with video and some film, I wanted a viewfinder that was cheap(er), easy to operate and functioned with a variety of camera setups. This viewfinder does them all, and it has definitely benefited me on set.

I love this thing. I don't feel like some poser when I'm lining up shots, thinking about framing, wondering if my finger frame is 16:9 or 20:107. Downside is you frame shots that are too difficult to get using a big honking camera.

Comments about Alan Gordon Enterprises Mini Director's Viewfinder:
I'm a DP specializing in corporate and TV work. I also direct. This little viewfinder is a wonderful, affordable tool that gives you everything a bigger version does at a fraction of the cost and the size. Solid construction, excellent optics and a wide variety of formats makes this a perfect tool for your needs. And when done shooting, just throw it in your pocket... or better yet, just keep it there, in case you get a great shot idea. .
