Olympus FL-BKM03 Twin Flash Bracket for the Olympus E-System Digital SLR Cameras
A flash bracket such as this Olympus FL-BKM03 Twin Flash Bracket attaches to the base of an Olympus E-series camera and provides a platform for a shoe-mount flash away from the camera's hotshoe. When the path of the flash output is too close to the angle of the lens, issues like red-eye, hardened shadows, and flattened light tend to mar otherwise pleasant photos.
- As the arm angle and flash position/angle can be freely adjusted, it is possible to enjoy flash shooting using any Zukio digital lens including ultra-wide-angle lenses.
- The bracket arm can be folded down for storage or transportation.
- Dual-flash macro shooting is possible without interfering with the dual-axis variable LCD monitor - this really comes in handy when macro shooting with free-angle Live View.
- When used together with either the Olympus FL-50R or FL-36R electronic flash, a wireless remote dual-flash system is achieved without requiring complicated wiring.

I bought the STF22 twin flash system for my Olympus 510 with the recommended cylindrical lens mount, and found that the mount was so awful that I couldn't use it at the close macro ranges I needed! This new flash bracket kit saves the day, allowing an enormous range of angles and positions to make sure the close-ups are evenly lit. Still haven't explored all the possibilities yet. Perhaps one more gadget or two, allowing greater height variations for the T22 flashes, would be all that's missing from this 'erector set' for close up work.
