The LSR2328P from JBL is a professional-quality 2-way studio monitor ideal for use in home, project, or professional studios. The biamplified cabinet contains Class A-B monolithic power amplifiers that deliver a total of 165W to the speakers. The 8" long excursion woofer and 1" soft dome tweeter provide a clear, wide frequency response with superb detail. The enclosure is constructed from matte black PVC and finished with a metallic anthracite paint to provide a terrific combo of great looks and durability.
The LSR2328P is designed to connect to virtually any sound system you come across. The rear panel features XLR, TRS, and RCA input jacks to accept audio from a variety of sound sources. A volume control knob, along with LF and HF trim switches, allow you to customize the response of the speaker to match your working environment. The speaker has 4 standard M6 threaded mounting points, and also has a neoprene rubber pad on the bottom to help isolate it from a table or desk and minimize audio reflections. Comments about JBL LSR2328P 165W 8" Active 2-Way Studio Monitor:
Our church purchased a pair of these monitors for use in our video editing studio. I was immediately struck by the quality, clarity, and power of the sound they produce. I was also impressed by the variety of input options and the built-in bass/treble trim. They are a bit bulkier than we expected, but the addition they have made to our studio has been well worth it.

Comments about JBL LSR2328P 165W 8" Active 2-Way Studio Monitor:
I'm 57. Over the years I've heard a variety of speakers and remembered the JBL studio monitors of the 70s fondly. I recently purchased a pair of the 2328 JBL studio monitors. I have entered a new stage of listening pleasure. I have one wire running from my computer to each of the speakers(strictly in stereo). I can't stop listening. Price and Quality. A rare happening.

Comments about JBL LSR2328P 165W 8" Active 2-Way Studio Monitor:
I decided to go with active monitors (plus stands) for my home audio. I think it was a brilliant choice because I didn't have to buy a receiver/amp or worry about compatibility issues between speakers and amp. It looks funny having great speakers without a system in between them - just my little iPod feeding in the sound via XLR cables.
The JBLs sound really good anywhere in the house, but particularly good in the sweet spot. On some tracks the soundstage is almost holographic. Bass is ample - on some tracks I can hear a few goodies down at lower frequencies that I didn't hear before. But what I like most of all is the coherence, balance, and restraint. This isn't a flashy speaker - just very very accurate. Using an EQ would be heresy!

Comments about JBL LSR2328P 165W 8" Active 2-Way Studio Monitor:
I bought a pair of these monitors to use with a Roland 700GX keyboard, and have not used them for any other purpose thus far. I have them mounted on short speaker stands. They appear very well built and very solid. I like the various connection options, but would recommend stereo RCA connections as opposed to an unbalanced single connection. Also, the units could benefit from dedicated controls for bass and treble. My chief complaint is that there is too much bass and not enough treble response, at least for purposes of replicating the nuanced tones of a grand piano. The sound is very good particularly when playing multi-voice pieces where the bass heavy response is more appropriate. I have yet to find the adjustment that makes the Roland sound the way it should. There is too much low end, and higher pitched notes tend to be a bit muffled in comparison despite the bi-amplified system. In contrast, when playing through good quality headphones, the keyboard sounds nearly indistinguishable from a grand piano. The proper replication of single instrument sounds is a difficult one, and the JBL's don't quite deliver in this regard.
