The Tenba Black Label Photo Satchel Bag, Large (Black) is a top-loading, foam-laminated, weather-repellent ballistic nylon bag with an internal floor board with 1.0" of padding that provides protection beneath the contents. The bag has removable padded dividers, military matte-finish YKK zippers, and web straps with large Duraflex clips that secure the main flap.
The satchel bag has a large front accessory pocket with 10 compartments for small electronics and accessories. There are color-coded windows that identify full and empty media cards. It is carried by dual carry straps with an overlapping grip or a removable, adjustable shoulder strap. The bag has solid steel TriAngle strap rings that allow variable attachment angles to help "micro-balance" the weight of the load and a rear trolley strap that allows the bag to slide onto a rolling luggage handle.

Comments about Tenba Black Label Photo Satchel Bag, Large:
Until I actually saw and tested this bag, I did not realize that it could accomodate my gear. I can fit my 7D with 70-200mm f/4L IS attached and my 40D with 17-55mm f/2.8 lens attached. The cameras are carried vertically, lens down and fit on each end of the satchel. I carry the cameras across the satchel rather than along the length of the satchel as the Tenba illustration shows. There is room between the two cameras/lenses for a flash and a wide angle lens.
The front flap area storage accommodates batteries, and CF-cards as well as some miscellaneous gear. The Tenba is well constructed and is quite well balanced. It is surprisingly light weight for a bag this sturdy which will accommodate this much gear...

Comments about Tenba Black Label Photo Satchel Bag, Large:
The Large Satchel actually is not that large. However it holds my DSLR with 3 lenses (including 200MM telephoto), all cords, lens kit and filters. The shoulder strap will not slip and is very well made and padded. I love the fact that there is no velcro anywhere. It is easy to logically place your equipment. Know where everything is. When the lid is opened it serves as a nice surface to place your camera body when changing lens or filters. Build quality exceeds Tumi briefcases if you want an idea of robustness.

Great for my Nikon D3 with a 24-70mm or 70-200mm (attached to the body), and room for more accessories. Only one complaint though. I would add a zipper for the main compartment for extra safety and security.

Comments about Tenba Black Label Photo Satchel Bag, Large:
The bag is well-constructed and plenty big to carry whatever you need. It's fun figuring out how to customize the padding on the inside to accommodate a f2.8 70-200mm lens, but it fits adequately once you do. Also, fits 18-135mm standard zoom lens, 50mm lens and camera body, plus a multitude of accessories. I don't have a flash, but it would fit that too.

Comments about Tenba Black Label Photo Satchel Bag, Large:
I must say that I am very partial to Tenba bags. Throughout 20+ years of event-location photography, my Tenba Pro Travelers and Air Cases held up really well. So well, that I still use them today.
I currently own a Tenba Pro Traveler P655, but was looking for a Top-Loading configuration to house the Nikon D700 camera with a 24-70 F/2.8 or 70-300 AFS VR Nikkor mounted, plus a flash and other misc goodies.
When I first spotted the Tenba Black Label Large Satchel, I was first taken by the design of the bag. The same, high-quality, Ballistic Nylon that I have become accustomed to with Tenba, along with a beautiful, leather upholstry trim on the handles and around the edges. The padding was dense, and the bottom had a certain rigidity about it. There was no doubt that this bag would last for years.
I was concerned though, as the D700 with either lens would provide a fair amount of weight while mounted 'nose-down' on the support dividers. I tried the Tenba Black Label Large Photo Satchel with my equipment and was very surprised that the dividers were well-padded but also quite rigid. They felt that they cound hold a 20-pound dumbell without collapsing.
Not only does it hold the camera with either lens mounted, but it also will hold the other lens to the left of the divider, and another one to the right, plus a flash. The bag is fairly low-profile and stays close to the body.
I felt so strongly about the quality, compatibility and design of the bag, that I purchased a second smaller bag of the same design for lighter trips.
You absolutely cannot go wrong with this bag.

Comments about Tenba Black Label Photo Satchel Bag, Large:
I use this bag almost everyday and the nice thing about it is that it does not look like a camera bag. It looks very professional and cool.
I wish I could get a larger one. THis is the largest Teba offers in this class.
