The SR325is from Grado is a top-of-the-line stereo headphone that's perfect for working in a studio or for casual listening. Based on the SR325i, Grado has looked at their previous model and taken steps to improve the drivers and cable even further. The physical design is constructed for long-lasting comfort, with an adjustable headband and soft, cushioned foam earpads.
The SR325is has several features that provide the ultimate sonic experience, with terrific clarity and detail. Upgraded drivers are matched within 0.05dB and the mass distribution in the aluminum housing has been improved. The vented diaphragms have been "de-stressed" to provide great detail, and the voice coil and 8-conductor connecting cord are both made from ultra-high purity long crystal copper wiring.

Comments about Grado SR325is Dynamic Open-Air Stereo Headphone:
I use these for listening to my home stereo. I also have Bose Quiet Comfort 15 headphones which I use at work and while traveling. The Grado SR325is headphones do sound better with more music heard than what the Bose transmits. However, the cord that comes with the Grado's is much too short and an extension cord is a must. It would be great if Grado supplied a carrying case with their headphones or at least had them as an accessory.

Comments about Grado SR325is Dynamic Open-Air Stereo Headphone:
I use these headphones for listening to my stereo. The cord should be at least 5' longer, the one that comes on the unit keeps you much too close to the stereo, preventing me from getting into a relaxing position. An extension cord is a must. I compared them to my Bose QuietComfort 15 headphones and the Grado SR325is headphones produce better quality audio. It would be great if Grado either included a traveling case with their headphones or at least had them as an accessory.

Comments about Grado SR325is Dynamic Open-Air Stereo Headphone:
. I was given a very well known brand of celebrity headphones for Christmas that felt as if you were being punched in the ears. This is when they didn't distort of course. With some research I chose the Grado 325is. And to my surprise they have qualities comparable to my Monitor Audio Silver RS8 Towers. My wife, who is by no means an audiophile, was very impressed by how natural, and open the sound was on your headphones. I Can't wait for the break in period to be over and to hear them in all their glory. Thank You for making such a quality product.

I bought these over a year ago wanting to try something different but all the mixed opinions on them made it impossible to decide whether I may like these or not.
As soon as I placed them on my head, powered up my rig and started playing music, I thought, dang, these are never going back!
They immerse you in music with their upfront, energetic sound. They are mildly warm with full, rich tone quality and bright, smooth, highly detailed, and aggressive treble. The midrange is beautiful, very clear, and grungy, and the bass so tuneful with real nice texture. The bass is deep and abundant without intruding into the other frequencies, but this is certainly not* a basshead's headphone. The treble is metallic, and I always dislike that in a headphone's sound, but this is THE exception. It is a very fun and enjoyable metallic, much to my surprise.
I have too much fun with these all the time. I'm also finding that I prefer their lushness over my Sennheiser HD600's.
If you do not care too much for a neutral and natural presentation, give these a try!
I listen to anything that isn't classical and jazz with these, I prefer HD600 for those genres. Lately I'm really getting into trance and these rock.
These headphones seem to need quite a bit of break-in before their imaging ability really shows what it can do, so they sound a bit congested at first, then the congestion disappears completely after being fully broken-in. Rather annoying how long they take, it seemed like 400-600 hours of use, I estimate.
It's a shame that Grado doesn't include an adapter for SR325is (and their other headphones with 1/4" plugs) as they are relatively efficient enough for use with MP3 players.
It also seems that the more output current you feed SR325is, the better they sound and get your foot tappin'!
Pair these with very refined and analogue-sounding equipment.

I have been wanting a pair of nice headphones and like most people all I really knew about was Bose. but the more studying and looking at reviews and also looking at [@]the more my eyes were open. These are truly great headphones and can be used with a ipod without a amp (but you will need to order the adapter to fit the ipod. Looked on the internet for some companies that sale the headphones and I always heard great things about B&H and gave them a try. [...] Thanks alot
