Fair quality for the price. Very useful when really sunny outside. Protective film on the pop-up shade is really hard to remove. To complete the removal of that film you need to unscrew the whole thing. Other than that it's a useful tool, easy to use, to remove at a good price.

The decals on the thru-buttons rubbed off after a week, which is tricky if you don't have the buttons memorized.

I've had it for over a year, and it's been very useful. However, just recently, it's been popping off my camera. So it might not last longer than two years.

Until I get an expensive EVF this is good enough for outdoor shooting under the Sun. Buttons work perfectly and easy to put on the camera and remove back.

Works as advertised. Although it looks like it takes two hand to close it, you will quickly learn to close it with one hand. The cover is easy to remove (like when you are shooting indoors and don't need a shade.)

I do a lot of shooting outside and the shade makes it easier to chimp photos on the lcd screen. The only problem I had with it was the ease of closing it. Both sides of the shade have to be pushed. This can be a bit difficult while holding the camera at the same time.

I bought this to protect the LCD on my D90. I didn't realize the D90 already came with a screen protector. The popup shade fits snugly on the camera, but I found that I had to open and close it very often, because you can't shoot with the popup open and you can't view the LCD with it closed, so if you go back and forth between shooting and adjusting settings or shooting and viewing the pictures, opening and closing the shade gets annoying. I also never have any trouble seeing the LCD, so I'm not sure how valuable the shade is anyway.

I like the features of this device, including the "pass through" buttons--so you can use your functional buttons still with this piece attached, the removeable shade so you don't have to remove the entire device if you don't want the shade on...or can't have it up (i.e. Shooting via the viewfinder rather than in live mode). My only criticism is that it doesn't fit ultra snug on the left side (the buttons side), and because of that you have to press extra hard to hit the buttons.

I use this mainly for when I'm shooting video via my D90 (thus in live view), but when shooting stills, I take it off. I also kind of wish that it didn't include the eye cup for the viewfinder--that it just fit under yours, so that you could take this piece on and off without having to carry yours around with you.

What a buy! I put this on my camera as soon as I got it in the mail! I'm an on location photographer and with these LCD screens it's hard to see your photo and make your adjustments when it's nice and bright outside. This allows your to shade your screen so you can see what your looking at! It's easy to put on your camera and if your indoors shooting and don't want to pop open the flaps to see your photos then just remove the flaps. It slides right off to the right of the camera. I couldn't tell you one bad thing about it. It's a great addition for any photographer!

The Delkin shade mates very well with the D90 body without feeling like something alien grafted to the back of the camera. The design is very well thought out--from the way the function button reproduce the same feel as the camera's buttons beneath to the way the removable rubber eye cup allows for accessories to attach to the shade the same way they attach to the body. I particularly like that the pop-up shade is easily detachable without having to take off the whole cowl. My only complaint is that the material feels a little flimsy, especially compared to the Hoodman shade I used with my D70. At [$], the Delkin shade is very reasonably priced, but I'd rather have paid $30 and had it feel a little sturdier and make less rattle/vibration when opening and closing the pop-up shade.

this product offers great protection for the camers LCD screen and is very easy to use in the field. the pop up shade is great on sunney days this part of the device is also easly removed giving you a less restricted view of the LCD screen.

I would suggest this pop up shade for anybody who uses a Nikon D90. This gives your D90 LCD screen total protection from scratches and makes viewing the screen in sunlight much easier.

Purchased to shade LCD when taking movies on a D90. Excellent for that purpose.
I found it bulky when trying to use it for stills w viewfinder. It hampered command dial use to get previous photos.
