Comments about Tiffen #2 Color ND 2.0 Viewing Filter:
I saw this viewing filter recommended in a book I was reading and gave it a try. It is a quality, well made product with very dark sepia glass. The idea is that the lens will help you visualize what a color image will look like in b/w by showing tonal, not color variations. However, to my eye, all it did was darken the image dramatically and give the colors a sepia cast. Don't expect to see a black and white conversion, or anything close to one with this lens. The colors do come through.

Very easy to use. Lets your eye see with about the same dynamic range as your film or sensor. You can see what will be blown out or black before you click the shutter. Helps you in using the zone system by figuring out where to meter. Great device for saving time little $$
