Comments about Broncolor Book: Light Architecture by Urs Recher:
Unlike many other books on photography that fore the reader down a narrow road of dos and don'ts, LA seeks to lay a foundation and provide examples with actual equipment and their possibilities.
I carry the book always and use it as a reference to lighting situations I come across in magazines, and daily travel.
This book allows the reader to reverse engineer any lighting situation and add the result to their arsenal of possible tools.
This is probably the best purchase I have made as far as books are concerned.
The one con is the interpreted text is sometimes choppy and takes a few glances and some context to understand. That small point does not hinder the success of this book as an aid in anyway.

Comments about Broncolor Book: Light Architecture by Urs Recher:
While not inexpensive, 'Light Architecture' is one of the best, if not the best, book on lighting I've yet seen. The discussion of lighting theory and principles is concise, clear and well done. The book's full-page photos are of exceptional printed quality and the accompanying 1 page setup diagrams and descriptions are very clear as to why what gear was used and how the effect(s) in/of each photo were achieved and why. Another VERY nice and welcome feature throughout the book is the creativity of the author in his setups -- going beyond the "I learned this 40 yrs ago" mundane 'key+fill+accent' light setups we soooo often see in books on the subject.
As a Broncolor factory shooter, Urs Recher describes and uses Bron gear throughout the book, but the principles are applicable across any manufacturer. HIGHLY recommended.
